Help Wanted!
Simon's Hakkoda Powder Snow Tours is looking for someone who wants to ski all winter and spring. Is that you?
I am looking for an assistant who must be able to ski deep powder, trees, and... well, everything. The tour season starts in late December and runs until early May. Oh, and you can get FREE room and board the entire season!
Qualifications are not required, but they will go a long way toward being considered. Examples include guide/ski patrol experience, certifications in avalanche or wilderness first aid, and so on. You will need to speak a little Japanese or at least be willing to learn. You'll also need your own back country equipment and a driver's license.
There is no money involved at first, but it could be really financially rewarding in the future. Free room and board is available at the Sansou Lodge (where you'll get your own room, and be treated as one of the family), but you'll need to be willing to shovel snow in the mornings and help out in the kitchen in the evenings. You can also make some money between tours if the Bandit (the owner of the Sansou Lodge) needs some help during the day.
In other words, this is a really great gig for someone who wants to be a ski bum for half of the year.
