Wonderful photos, love the beach shot! As a "Kantoite" I had to look up what a "shisa" was. Discovered a new shrine in our neighbourhood dedicated to Daikoku (窶佚・ツ坂?「窶弖), the God of Fortune:

I thought I wrote their name: Shibazakura (芝桜)
I think in English they're called "pink moss".
 
Found this gem by chance today: the Kyu-Yasuda Teien Gardens; formerly a daimyo residence, then taken over by the Yasuda family, now a public garden, located in Sumida-ku, Tokyo, just north of the Sumo Kokugikan and the Edo-Tokyo Museum.

Takeda Castle in Hyogo Prefecture is also known as "The Castle in the Sky" or "Machu Picchu of Japan".
