Which way to do you roll a scroll :)?

Well, I finally finished my 8 month long project. The tankas are done, the scroll is complete, the box is made...

One problem. Which way do I roll the scroll up :D! Is it traditionally, rolled so the writing is facing toward the inside, or the outside? Anyone know?

God damn it :/ Think I might have damaged and wrinkled the scroll due to it being on wall paper and the bumps. I'm almost afraid to unroll it now that I have unpacked it. Ugh, over half a year of work I might have just destroyed.

The scroll was two romance poems I worked on for someone that is going away in less than a month.

*sigh* stupid scroll paper...
