Drum festival in fukuoka

Hi everyone,

My friend who is in fukuoka for the year teaching english said that there is or was a japanese drumming festival happening this week. Does anyone know what it is called? i wanted to look it up on the internet but my initial google searches aren't coming up with much..

umm i can find it.... either. However they are alot of links on this web page, may have info on the festival. It has many links about events in fukouka but doesnt seem anything about a drum festival...

umm i checked all the festivals in fukuoka and not seem to mention a drum festival. This is a list of all the festivals in fukouka throught the year:

They is a festival from july 1 - 15, not this week.....
