I dunno.. but.. strange stuff.. lol.. for those who don't know 200,000,000 Yen is just under 2.5 million CAD (and if your american then I don't know how much it is..) But yeh.. you gotta be pretty nice to do that..

although i feel terribly sorry for the victims,
although i would love to be generous,
although i would love to help...
i would really be stupid to do such a thing. of course, with 200 ml yen, you go far and i dont really need to go all that far, i'd keep most of it for myself & familly & friends.
but i would give some to needy people.
yes, i would.
P.S.
say hello to grmltrpkzzrt or whatever it's name is, from me.

That would be close to $2mil in US, I can't see giving all of that away...even for a good cause! But I might be persuaded to give away 1/2 :?

Hard to say, since I don't have it right now! :D Either way, it was a great act and it makes you feel a little better about the world we live in today!

god i wish i had that sort of money..

Well that guys, is very good guy. I wouldnt do that, but i may have given half or so. But as i say, many people will take advantage of this and wont appreciate this. As it says in my sig, nice guys also lose.

If I were in the man/woman's shoes I would definently give them some money.

Depends on how much money you have in the first place. If I was a multi-millionare I'd give some of it away, simply because I'd never know how else to spend it all.

If you have that amount of money to give away you must have alot of money.

Anyway the person who gave that money away to the people who needed it would get much more from the people he has given the money to.

Alot of respect and love you can't buy that.

helping someone who really needs it feels better they some paper in my pocket with portraits on it. It is nice to have enough money for getting by on. Money can buy a lot of things, but the "HIGH" you get from doing a really good deed beats everything in my book.

Well, I'd certainly give a good share of it for some good cause, but not all of it.

maybe the guy who has donated the entire amount of his winnings is probably a multi-millionnaire or billionnaire in € or $ or even better in £ and did not need it ?
maybe...
or maybe, he just did not want to share with his familly (i know of famillies where everyone hates everyone) and that he has a terminal illness and dont want his relatives to enjoy life after he/she is gone...
maybe...
or maybe, he/she made a vow of poverty...
maybe...
or maybe, very simply, he/she is completely isane, or some kind of a saint...
maybe...
