i now know what it is to truly appreciate Squall's greatness. i used to take for granted his sullen melodramatics, but no longer! after suffering through the excruciatingly pleasant and happy "Squaresoft Trio" (that's right, trio) of Zidane, Tidus, and more recently Sora (oh how i loathe Sora!) i see the light! and his name is Squall!! what the world needs now is more mediocrity, more Squalls!!

Hehehe... I love them all! Well, Squall and Cloud really are my favourites (both are dark and sullen etc etc.. Squall's definately the best though!)... but Zidane and Tidus were just so much fun! It was nice to have a change, even though I love the darker hero's. As for Sora, he's meant to be a kid, so he's meant to be kinda pleasant and happy - even though I don't see him staying that way throughout the game - I'm only 20hrs in so far! I like them all, Squaresoft can't do a thing wrong in my books - well, apart from making a racing game when we all know that they suck! Hehehe...

Fav for me has to be Sephiroth hands down (even if he is an arch-baddie). He's the epitome of evil: cruel, coldly handsome, and bad to the bone 8-p Plus he just looks wicked cool dressed to the 9's all in black and wielding the Masamune.

Sephiroth was pretty cool i guess... (<...didn't like FFVII much;;) i didn't think he was all that evil tho'... and his reasons for being all villain-y were kind of lame... he was like "wah! mommy didn't love me enough 'cause she was a torso! feel sorry for me! i'm gonna blow up the world!" on the other hand he killed off Aeris... and he did look hella cool, so yeah... and i loves me some Zidane too!! i'm re-playing FFIX right now...^^

It has to be Squall. Tidus is a babe too! I noticed a picture in the cover of Drive- by Glay, and noticed that Jiro looks very similar to Tidus. My japanese friends thinks that maybe Tidus was meant to look like Jiro. Also in the movie, Cptn Gray Edwards looks like Ben Affleck!

Oops! didn't realize the picture would come out so big!
The reason for the milk moustache, is because it is taken from an advert for milk that i found online ages ago. I actually forgot that when i attached it, as on my brouser the pic was only tiny, so i didn't see it properly.

Here is the gorgeous Hyde by the way.
I think he'd make a cool FF character Sakaguchi san.
Plus I would really like to do a song for one of the FF Soundtracks!

I always thought Seymour was modeled after Joaquin Phoenix... When I was playing that game I half expected him to launch into some tirade about the "busy little bee"...

Also, all those belts and straps on Squall's outfit totally remind me of Michael Jackson from the "Bad" video.

Okay, Spolier warning.... If you haven't played Final Fantasy tactics or intend to some time in the, don't read this. But most of you won't because you won't go back to such an old school game (from 1999), even though it is the best final fantasy ever, judged not by me but by most people who have played the whole final fantasy series. Just right now I'm going to say Ramza Belouve is about the most Heroic character ever made for the Final fantasy Universe. Not one of the other characters here can even hold a candle up to him.

Every single one of these characters were whiny pretty boys, Ramza Belouve actually figures out his brother killed his father using a long and painful poison and watches him kill his other brother (Zalbag). He then has to kill his last remaining brother. Unlike the rest of the upper class he does not believe underclassmen are below him so he fights for them against his own family. His best friend betrays him, and even tries to kill him.. His sister gets captured and turned into an arch god, and yet he fights to save her at any cost. He even prevents a massive war from breaking out. A true humanitarian. He knows he is fated to die in the end if he goes into the final battle and does so anyways, to save the earth and his sister. If that is not a Hero nothing is. What does tidus do? play blitz ball, saves the world.. ohh great... Cloud? please cry for me because Im an experiement with superpowers, oh how horrible... thats just pathetic.

And if you want to go for a villian, the most real villian was Delita in FFT. He screws over Ramza his best friend and incites a war just so he can get to power. HE then marries a queen not for love but for the lust of power, and in the end justifies it all because he can bring peace to the world... thats a piece of work.

Oh yeah in the end, Delita is called the hero and Ramza is branded a heretical traitor... Call that justice.

I didn't get into FF8...same with FF6. I kinda got into FF10, enough to know most of the characters. Tidus would have to be my fave there probably.

cloud, barret rocked and i think the only character in final fantasy to show fatherly love at least as playable characters go. Sephiroth rocked still does. Vincet was cool. I like Irvines shooting skills, Kuja was cool, and squall was weird but cute. The main character in 9 forgot his name had a cool tail and loved his hair. You know most of the guys in the game have nice hair.

His voice for the english version kinda makes him look like he's into surfing. :p

I love Squall...but yea...I can see where ppl say he looks like Gackt. They say Rinoa was based off of Faye Wong. And it is true they look alot alike. :D She even has the highlights in her hair

Alright...I think I'll introduce someone new to the ff men line up. i have this thing for Locke from FF6. Dark, The person who drew those photos was Amano, maybe one of the most respected Anime artists in Japan( Im pretty sure he is the most respected) His art is unparalleled. CG crap doesn't compare to it. Kain's darkeness comes through his photo, as he is controlled by evil. The drugged out look of his photos shows real creativity.

Moreover the ONLY reason why FF7 has a movie is because it was the first 3D game made. Had it of been ff-6/4 then it would have likely had a movie made out of it. Unless I hear otherwise I've quit the new final fantasy games. they are just profit seeking copies of earlier games, that don't feature any improvement on playability or storyline. Actually I think the game has seen a regression in storytelling since FF-7. Because the newer games have been marketed to teens, who are less discerning than long time gamers about the games they play, the newer FFs are popular. However I want to enjoy my game for its actual merits, Gameplay, storyline, are far more important than cute graphics. I play Starcraft religiously because no game before or since has made such a perfect symbiosis of gameplay ever. Same goes for the classic FF games which didn't have spectacular graphics but wasn't so focused on profitability so that inventive storylines and features was put aside for graphics. As it stands the originals are still the best.

if ff4 was the first one to have reached 3d graphics it would have been in the mivie instead of ff7ac ............but it wasnt k and ff7 goes great with the movie thing the dialog the storyline etc.

Seifer Almasy of FFVIII will forever be the coolest FF guy. But don't kill me!!! Sephiroth is cool, too.

Ever notice how the bad guy (whether they have a change of heart or not) is usually the coolest?

FFIV - Kain
FFVI - Kefka
FFVII - Sephiroth
FFVIII - Seifer
FFIX - Kuja (even though he wore metal undies...he used awesome figurative language)
FFX-2 - Shuyin (well...him and Gippal)

Even General Hine from the movie was the coolest. Of course, he DID have James Woods' voice, which could explain a lot. And FFX...well...we won't even go there. Just the name is a disgrace...Seymour...

There are one or two others that I can't recall atm. Like thos from the earlier games and Tactics, etc.

I have only played FF VII and VIII (havent even completed any of the games, nevertheless I did enjoy them a lot). My favourite character in VII is Barret, the muscled guy with a gun as arm. He is always quarelling with Cloud..

I dont remember much about VIII, so I will go for the main character Squall.

i think his name is Marche Radiuju, yeah thatｴs a real hero, because they belive in his rights, and not on to someone else things :cool:

I'd pick either Tidus cause he's fun, Cloud or Vincent cause they're silent. I don't think Squall looks like Gackt, I think Cloud does. I was wondering about the whole squall/gackt thing. He looks more like Cloud to me, a LOT more.

If you go to the japanese male section/forum/thing *laughs* there's a post called Miyvai and Gackt and they have a pic of Cloud and gackt and you can really see the similarities between them. I never played FFVIII so I really don't know anything about Squall but gackt does has his own Final Fantasy character in Dirge of Cerberus his name is G.
