Yes, I have played the game. I am very familiar with the heavy weapons therein. HOWEVER, just because it is a realistic game, DOES NOT mean that it can't easily turn into a Quake enviornment with the wrong people playing.

Have you ever played Rainbow Six 3? It is fairly realistic in itself, yet 5 of the 6 games I played of that yesterday were reduced to nothing but run and gun Quake style action.

And I fully understand the fundamentals of tactics in combat. Ever play Socom II? That game is like Quake in 3rd person, yet, my friends and I dominate because we use realistic tactics and not silly side to side firing runs.

As for other things I am playing, I would have to say that since getting my new LIVE headset, I have been playing a lot of Rainbow Six 3 and ESPN NHL 2K5 for XBOX. On the PS2 front, I have been doing a bit of SOCOM II and Front Mission 4 for the last few days.

Ok, an update to my more recent gaming addictions...

On the X-Box, I am feverishly trying to finish Breakdown beofre my sanity completely leaves me. In case none of you have heard of it, Breakdown is a Namco made FPS, which ironically enough is a genre that the Japanese hate about 99% of the time. Breakdown is the 1% exception. Look it up for more info on any X-Box site, cool story and very immersive. When my first X-Box took a dump, I sadly lost all of my Colin Mcrae 04 data, so I have been starting over driving for team Subaru with mixed results. Kingdom under Fire has garnered a lot of my attention as well. As a sort of Knights and Dark Elves version of the ever popular 'leave brain at door and enter the lair of twitch gaming' Dynasty and Samurai Warriors but with a more strategic twist. The game is made by a Korean crew and for all I can say, it is one of the more entertaining games I've played in awhile. Still playing ESPN's complete sports lineup. And SNK vs. Capcom: Chaos is still spinning away in the box a bit.

On the P to the S to the 2, we have Alias. God Jennifer Garner is hot. Sadly, sometimes the show is way more entertaining than this game. It would appear that the developers took their programming pills in certain portions of the game, then others, let the janitors take over when they were deciding how to make Jennifer's butt look more realistic. Long and short, good story, overall fun game that turns to crap in some instances, but still worth a go-through. Cy-Girls is some wacky Japanese toy property that was turned into a game featuring 2 chicks that look good in tight things while prancing about in the future. I can't really knock it as I bought it and it is pretty fun. Still SLOWLY working through Front Mission 4, playing THE HELL out of Gungrave" Overdose and even finding time for Firefighter FD:18.

The gamecube right now is in the collecting dust game as I can't find anymore time to devote to games right now, but with the few games soon due for it I can find the time.

Shenmue for Dreamcast.

I have an Xbox and I beat Shenmue II, and I loved it so much I went out and bought a Dreamcast, mem card, and Shenmue for about $60, since I never got the chance to play the first Shenmue. :-)

Funny thing is that Shenmue I on Dreamcast has slightly better graphics than Shenmue II on Xbox :o

I'm 92% (not counting stuff to do that doesn't add completion) done with San Andreas. I can't wait to be finished with it. Driving around is great, since it's so diverse, but the story was just boring. I enjoyed the lighthearted, stereotypical approach of Vice City much, much more. Even the soundtrack is pretty generic, except for K-DST and K-Rose. I think I cried when I heard how small Lazlow's part was this time.

It hasn't been overhyped like Halo 2 or GTA:SA, and it isn't a disappointment, it didn't have that big of a deal made out of it, but man will you be blown away by it. It is really an amazing accomplishment. I had high expectations for this game, the game surpassed them, easily. You'll love it. If you're going to purchase any game, this is it. Get it. Now.

I'm playing Viewtiful Joe. Such an awesome game. But I'm stuck on the boss for the level before the last. Fire Leo is just...crazy.

He's actually sort of easy once you figure out his weaknesses. You can either do it the way Capcom expects or you can activate zoom and slow and use kicks when Leo is spinning. Joe will twirl around and kick damaging Leo and he won't damage you. When you get low on VFX, jump over him until it fills back up and repeat. You should be able to take 2 portions of his life gauge down each round.

I'm playing Viewtiful Joe on Adult, Zelda : the Minish Cap, and RE4 which is getting the bulk of my time.

Holy crap. That's so simple! I read like "First mach speed until you're on fire, then punch Leo so his fire goes out, then dodge his attacks until he gets dizzy, then SlowZ-RHOH a couple times, then run. Oh, and don't forget to dodge those fire and lava balls". I was like "...huh...?"

That way was the way Capcom expects you to fight him, but If you try to use RHOH when he's spinning, he'll kick your butt as you he can strike you and run your VFX down fast, plus you can't wear him down as much. I found my method to get past him with little to no damage.

PS2: THUG (cause I've been to lazy to actually beat it yet... plus I started on expert), Fatal Frame II (and I want the first one so badly), FFX (still... already finished the sphere grid with Yuna... just got to do the same for everyone else now...), DDR (mainly for exercise), and Beatmania IIDX 7th style (mainly because it's awesome!) to name a few...

XBox: DOA3 (whenever someone challenges me... or I challenge them), Ninja Gaiden (because I can't seem to get past the two tanks + helicopter and I didn't get the windmill shuriken... bad move...), Guilty Gear X2 (see DOA3), and occasionally Brute Force (which I enjoy more than Halo... please don't kill me) and Shenmue II (laziness is preventing me from beating it so far...)

Gamecube: Super Smash Bros. Melee (because I will forever play that game), Wario Ware (because it is the best ADHD game friggin evar!), and occasionally Metroid Prime (again with the laziness)

I play a few more than that, but that's all I can come up with off the top of my head at the moment...

Favorite game currently being played? Hard choice... Beatmania IIDX is probably at the top of my list at the moment. I friggin' love Bemania music games!

I am playing an RPG called Tales of Destiny, and I'm quite enjoying it. The characters are cute and the dialogue is quite funny. The battle system is really strange. It's like a melee, everybody constantly attacking, not turned based like most RPGs. You can just attack by hitting O, defend using 'square', you can use special skills by combining the d-pad with the X button, or you can open up the menu to use spells. I find it quite realistic-feeling, as you are constantly active and you have to be quite strategic - like if an enemy is about to cast a spell on you, you have to attack physically before he finishes casting, then straightaway cast a spell before he recovers. It is a unique system amongst the games I have played. And the battles have Japanese dialogue in them, although it's very hard to hear. So far I've caught 'yatta', and that's about it! :blush:

I've completed every one, and i have a good game at every game, at FFX, none of my characters can get stronger, everyone beats 99999 at each hit, beat all the dark aeons, and penance, done all the sidequest and such... :D

at x-2 i have lvl 99 at yuna, rikku and payne, and i beat one of the dragons that you arent supposed to fight.

at VII i have lvl 60 at disc 1, great ghospel at Aeris and such, nice game

and so on and so on... :D

nowdays i play mostly xenosaga 2 though, the reason is that i completed every ff game and waiting for XII... :)

I started evil - kids running away, people screaming etc, but I became a reformed character because I couldn't get anyone to fancy me. The ending was disappointing though.

GOD OF WAR BABY! Beat it the first time, and now I am on God Mode. Trying to get past those damn Kratos'. They are the hardest part. They attack from all sides. I almost beat them but I had two more left, an archer and a kratos with a sword. I killed the sword guy and then got shot by the archer.

I gotta say I have never felt ******-over by any other game as much as this one made me feel. It is the worst game ever made! The controls are not even close at being decent for a fighting game, actualy it worse than the Dragonball games( Dragonball beeing known for its famus 1 button= 5 hits combos)

DO NOT BUY THIS GAME!!!!

I will probably give it a chance again tomorrow (I did pay for it ya know) But it will probably only last for 10 minutes before I get crazy again....

Anyway, If that fails I still have FF: Origins, which is almost better graphic than KOF MI :D

absolutely timeless, the blueprint for balanced RTS games. the stone-paper-scissors thing works just perfectly here. 3 totally different races to play, but no unfair advantages for any of them.

and thanks to the many active players on battlenet, it never gets boring. there are so many modes and maps...

and - as every blizzard game - it's highly addictive :-)

I just got a flashcart for my NDS.
So I'm playing lots of games.
But the one I'm more into is "Riviera".
It's a game for GBA with beautiful graphics and interesting gameplay.
You don't steer the characters,
you just point them in the right direction.
And they don't earn experience points,
but get skillful with weapons that break after continous use.
A very typical japanese console-style turn-based rpg.
I like it alot :)

Not as good as Xenogears, but hey, story aint everything :D

started playing Tekken 5 again.. I bought a sorround sound system with subwoofer (found it cheap online) for my Computer... though the sound card on my computer was not capable. So the sorround system got hooked up with my PS2...

After that I basically just had to play some game right? :-) (And my good is that subwoofer mean-*** mofo :cool:)

Just bought Tekken 5 last week. Doesn't seem like much of an improvement on the last one - the mobility of your character within the scenery, and the scenery itself don't seem as good, if anything - like the grass doesn't move as much. I only had a quick look though.

I just started playing Makai Kingdom last night. I don't know anything about it - my brother-in-law won it and passed it on as he doesn't have a PS2. The graphics are more like PS1, but it's not a really old game so I don't know why that would be. It's a tactical RPG, but you get to make your own characters from stuff in the field, like rocks and trees. It seems promising enough so far.

I started to play Half Life 2 for the second time yesterday, but the first portion with all the set-up of the plot was too tedious to get through.

I may start a second run-through of The Godfather instead, I know how to skip the cutscenes in that one.
