Japanese PenPal?

I am interested in the idea of being a penpal with a Japanese person. Does anyone know how I can accomplish that?
I found some PenPal sites. The main problem is: most people don't check all there Email (because all the junk mail) hence it's impossible to send a Email to someone who doesn't know your Email adress and get a responce.

Anyways. Although I would like an answer if possible, I am really just writing this because I havn't been on this site for awhile and feel the need to post away...
