I am currently residing in Japan thanks to a two year study visa, which however expires within a year. Would starting my own business enable me to get a working visa?

There are several ways to start your own business:
1. 個人事業 basically freelance kinda thing
2. 有限会社 ltd co
3. 株式会社 with proper stocks

Anyone here who has experience with this kind of situation?

Thanks!

I had a freind who got a work visa by simply being sponsered by a web page company, which well he ran himself. Very cool. :bluush:

that's a very good topic of discussion! I would liek to know more about that...if it's true about the web company. Then you can practically start your own business selling anything through the net! hrmm..
