i asked some friends about it yesterday or the day before
heard it's more violent than gantz
so i might never see it, gantz is almost too much for me now (the grandmother and the bratty kid were very depressing)

well, when I saw the topic the first thing I thought about was blood, It's violent ^^

I've heard bits and pieces about the show. Sounds pretty intense. Don't bet the rent money on this, but I think that ADV Films will be bringing it to the States sometime next year.

I'm still not quite sure what to think of this show. Sure, the art and animation are beautiful, but sometimes it seems too violent for its own good, and at times it comes across as too sappy for its own good. I'll still keep watching and keep my judgement until the show's over. It's 13 episodes long, right?

Here's one small nitpick: the title should actually be "Elfenlied", not "Elfen Lied" because, well, that's how German compound words work.

I'm still not quite sure what to think of this show. Sure, the art and animation are beautiful, but sometimes it seems too violent for its own good.Usually when someone is ripped to pieces in movies you just don't feel anything at all, it's just another dead guy. But in this anime it's different and I think that's what they wanted to bring out by making it the way they did.
e.g. The innocent person early in episode 1. The face expression didn't change at all, so I guess it was painless..

well i watched one episode, decided it was sick and got rid of it... is it supposed to get better later on ?

they cut down the paced of the violence a lil bit..but it'll get sicker after episode 10 because thats like nearing rhe end of the series

I just got to finished the last episode today..theres a twist in the end of the show, and the ending was pretty sad...btw for the ppl who watched the end, do u think they are gonna make elfen lied 2 and have lucy back? cuz it suggests so yea?
