Hello everyone.
My name is Chad. I live in Charleston, SC (US). I have always been interested in Japan and Japanese people. This influence probalby steams from my love of karate. (I have been studying for 18 years). Recently I took a trip to Tokyo and Okinawa for work. I was there for 3 weeks and absolutely loved it. I tried my best to learn as much of the language as I could. Now that I'm back in the states, I want to continue my studies. Now I need to meet some Japanese people to practice with. This is where the forum comes in.

What line of work are you in that sends you to Japan for 3 weeks? Just curious...

Hello,
I work for the DOD. Specifically in Network Security. I travel to Army, Marine and Navy bases securing there data networks.
On the same trip to Japan/Okinawa, I also spent time in Korea and Guam. Both were nice but Japan was the best! :-)
