This is for me to practise translating sentences using words from my nasty-vocab list. Feel free to point out my mistakes or ask questions.

どのような人選をしているのか、問題が起きた時の処分や予算執行など、視聴者に基準を明らかにする必要があ るのではと思います。
Concerning how personel are selected, the handing of problems when they occur, the carrying out of the budget etc., I think there is a requirement to make the standards clear to the listeners.

If small countries abase themselves to large countries they gain the trust of the large countries. It follows that if you can gain trust by abasing yourself there are those in the lower ranks who have gained trust.
Hmm, that looks very dubious. Was the original odd or have I horribly mistranslated I wonder?
