All right, guys! I think that the long gakurans/chou-rans look good and I like them, so i decided I want one! Yes, I am a geeky fanboy(and, of course, if you have a chou-ran, you too can enter the matrix), so now you don't have to come with some sarcastic or mean comments, okay? :p ;)

Now, what should I be careful with, think of and stuff like that when ordering? Do you think it's safe to order from one of those sites? Please tell me all the things I need to know!

I've got som links(thanks to kara):

http://www.gakuran.jp/database/database.cgi?cmd=s&sc=j1

Thanks in advance!

I took a look at those two shops for you.

The first one accepts credit cards (as you can clearly see from the logos). They don't directly accept the card, but have their shipping company handle it as one of their services. That means that whether your card is accepted or not is decided by the shipping company, not by the shop. That shouldn't be a problem, but if it is, don't bother asking the shop about it. I didn't see anything on their site that says they don't ship outside Japan. But I didn't see anything that says they do ship outside Japan either. You'll need to check with them via e-mail.

The second shop currently doesn't accept credit cards. You would need to make payment by international bank transfer. Again, I can find no mention of their policy on shipping outside Japan.

Thanks, but no thanks.

I think it is probably safe enough. I got a good impression of the first shop. These school uniform shops are usually family owned and operated small shops which have been in business for a long time.

One thing to remember is the sizes. Keep that in mind. In the States I wear a XL shirt, but here in Japan I need like a 4XL! :D And I am only 5'11" tall and I can't find any pants that are long enough for me here!

Just send them your measurements. They're professionals, so they should be able to make the right choice for you. I think they will also let you exchange for a different size if it doesn't fit, but of course you should expect to pay all the shipping costs related to that.
