if you have windows (xp) and go to a site with japanese signs on it it should normally automattically ask to install extra fonts and drivers of the windows cd. works best for me.
afterwards add another language to the keyboard layout to type japanese.

ok... well, that unfortunately doesn't work, I'm sure I already clicked the box that says "dont ask me this again." I'm sure there's a way I can just change a setting or something? download a font? something?

Yeah but the instructions in the thread TwistedMac posted covered much the same stuff. [EDIT] Except that it should have said "Regional and Language Options".

Yeah but the instructions in the thread TwistedMac posted covered much the same stuff. I wonder how carefully he read them ... :blush:
Is that just a nicer way of saying "Why should I put more effort into solving his problem than he does?"

Actually I owe an apology as there was a small but significant mistake in the thread that Twisted referred to. :relief:

@jr
go to configurationscreen then country settings (where you add and delete languages) then go to the last tab (advanced) ant there you should be able to select : 10001 (MAC-japanese)
then it will ask for the windows cd.
the directions given here can differ from yours couse i use a dutch windows. (tried to translate it as much as possible)
i think it's better to use the windows parts instead of using an extra program. much easier imo.
