GTA 3 - Flashback FM Edit

I found something interesting. I happened to be checking out the Grand Theft Auto 3 website today (found here (http://www.rockstargames.com/grandtheftauto3)), and when I listened to the clip for Flashback FM, Toni says "This one reminds me of waking up on the Duran Duran tour bus". On my game, "Duran Duran" is edited out of this comment (I own the Greatest Hits version). I tested my cousin's copy, which is a non-Greatest Hits version, and it's edited out of his, as well. Probably due to copywrite restrictions. I was wondering if there were any early versions of the game where this comment is not edited?

I don't think there's a patch that solves that kind of thing, but anyway try www.thegtaplace.com , maybe you can find something there

why does it matter, duran duran arent that good and its only a tiny part edited out, well i spose if your a fanboy it matters...

Wow, I was surprised to see a post in this thread.

I suppose it doesn't matter, it's just preference. I like to have the most complete version of games (proud to say that I have the unedited Vice City).

And I like Duran Duran! :cool:

i think in england we get the complete unedited versions, i can't wait to play the punisher which in the states will have to have some seens in black and white toevade the ntsc-17 or whatever, but it has been approved to have the most gruesome scenes in colour, yay for elpsa!

i think the small things that rockstar puts into everything are pretty kool...just a shame GTA3 was such a dissapointment and runs like sh*t on nearly all pcs :(

vice city was big improvement as it had bearly any of the glitches that were in gta3 and then san andreas was like the MOTHER LOAD...but im tired of GTA now...cant be bothered with it. :snore: im keen to get neverwinter nights back now once i get my pc up again :cool:

what was rediculous about GTA3 in australia is that the gaming authority demanded that the hooker effect be taken out....yet they alowed you to go walking around blowing people heads of with an M16..intriguing how some executive decisions work :clueless:
