EU fines Ajinomoto for being in price cartel
The commission said the three food companies set the price of nucleotide, a flavor enhancer used in soups and sauces, for nine years between 1989 and 1998 in violation of EU competition laws. Ajinomoto bore the blunt of the fine at 15.54 million euros. [...]
