help please real noob lol

hey guys i am just trying to pick up japanese, i sorta know some....but need help.... what is desu? and what are most of the articles, can someone help me please.....

i know some like

genki desu ka? and stuff like that but still need help with articles and desu and things along those lines

Someone should make a thread for online Japanese lessons... I posted a couple of sites somewhere on this forum... You are much better off doing a series of lessons or getting a text-book than you are asking random questions here, I hate to say. Good luck anyway.
