Anyone from Nagoya or Gifu-university?

Or anyone whos been there and can tell me about it? If all goes well Im going there this summer to study for like 8 or 10 weeks :cool: and Iｴd like to know about things one should see while Iｴm there and such. :-)

There's alot to do in Nagoya, you'll definitely have fun there. Don't limit yourself to just Nagoya, there's alot in the surrounding areas as well. The best thing about Nagoya is that it is centrally located, so you you're not that far from many attractions. What are you interests?

Uhm well, Iｴd like to try japanese beer and food (have only eaten sushi once and it was bad). And well other than that my interests are basically just to see how the japanese have it and maybe soak up some of their culture oh oh and too listen to japanese music live would also be fun and try dancedancerevolution ^^

You're in luck in that you'll be there in the summer. The summer is when all the festivals (matsuri) are going on.

In Nagoya, check out Central Park and Oasis 21.

There are alot of the younger crowd hanging out there and there are free concert there almost every weekend during the summer.

Iｴve listened to people that was there last summer and they say itｴs really really hot in Nagoya, Iｴm not saying I donｴt like it when itｴs hot but if you ask me 26-27 Celcius is best but they said its like over 30 and sometimes over 40 degrees in Nagoya at summer, is it really? :? :relief:
