HOW TO TYPE IN JAPANESE WITH WINDOWS XP AND IT CANT BE IME :p :relief:
Why can't it be IME? (And yes we did have this conversation before).
Here. (http://www.jref.com/forum/showthread.php?t=10145&highlight=top+reasons+ime)
Without further restraint here are, repeated,
THE TOP THREE REASONS I WANNA DO JAPANESE WITHOUT IME
3. I'm using Windows 95/98/Me and it won't let me do Japanese in AIM/WinMX/whatever.
2. I stole Windows XP with my l33t pir8 sk1\_\_0rz and now I don't have a OS disk I can install Windows XP IME from.
1. I'm at work/internet cafe/library and the **!^*$*^ers won't let me install anything.
So, what can be done?
1. Third party product (e.g. NJStar CJK communicator which has a 30 day free trial and works with more programs in old versions of Windows)
2. JWPce - a free Japanese wordprocessor. Type there, and paste into wherever you need it.
3. Online utility (http://www.davidhallgren.se/nihon/?StartWith=jsKanaEditor.asp) allows you to do the same as [2] - mostly for kana at the moment.[/QUOTE]
