Its about a boy whos father goes off to save the world and then when the boy grows up, he finds a funny animal. Which leads to him going out in to the world to look for his father and saving the world. I really cant give details. Im not that great.

and trhe guys name is Haru... He's the RAVE Master. He fight against this people from Demon Card. They have this special thing called Dark Bring and only RAVE can destroy it, so Haru goes around fighting them... and yeah, saves the world... o.O hmm... my explanation is kinda... bad though... ^^ the anime's really nice -> it's interesting and cute~!

Well... This thread is a few months old, but wouldn't hurt to revive it.

I have seen the animated T.V. series "Rave: Groove Adventure", but I wonder, was the T.V. series based on a comic book series or it's just started as a T.V. series?

The last T.V. episode I seen is when the team take off for a new adventure with their airship, to collect all of the Raves and searched for the "Memory of the Star". I don't know if they continue on the story after that.

Anyway. The story centered on the adventures of a boy (or a young man if you prefer) named Haru Glory and a girl (or a young woman if you prefer) named Elie (which if turned upside down readed "3173"), the story involves of their adventures that are related with Raves (previously known as Holy Brings) and Dark Brings.

The story is a mix of fantasy sword and sorcery with modern civilizations (modern buildings, modern transportation, casinos that Elie regulary patronage, and so on), kinda like Final Fantasy VII.

Sometimes the mood of the story is serious, but othertimes the mood is hilarious and made no sense.

There are many characters in the story, I want told a brief description about some of them, but I don't know where to begin.

I want to tell a brief of the story, but then again, with so many flashbacks, I don't know on where to begin. I even got the indication that there might be a time travel story involved here, one of the reasons is due to the pendant Elie bought and have it inscripted (it just an ordinary pendant that Elie got, but somehow it existed in the past).

Okay, I'll I try just to include part of the of the beginning of the T.V. series.

50 years ago, Shiba the Rave master and his friend Plue fight against the last Dark Bring, Sinclair. They won, or so they thought. While they were caught off guard, Sinclair later on counter attack by releasing a spell called "End of Earth" (or something like that), which pretty much destroyed a large part of the planet's surface, this incident later on known as "Overdrive".

The present. Somewhere on a town controlled by the criminal organization known as Demon Card, Haru and Plue got separated. Plue later on was found by a girl named Elie, who insist that Plue is a bug.

The rest? Just watched it.

The anime is based off of the RAVE manga that I think is somewhere around 30 volumes at the moment and doesn't even scratch the surface of the story. I read the 12 volume a couple of weeks ago and it was pretty good. Got into some parts that furthered Elie's past a bit, who she was, and that the numbers were not numbers of a lab specimen, but a clue to her past.

Never really cared for the anime, but the manga has been something I always read at the local bookstores from time to time.

The main character is annoying like Inuyasha - loud and arrogant and wrecked the anime for me so I quit. I don't know, it's just me. I find it more of a kid's anime. Probably better off reading the manga since you can just read through the emotional parts or those long thoughts where Haru thinks to himself during a fight.

Hahaha,Haru indeed shouts alot......

And one thing I dun like is that this KID haru...without any fighting exp before his journey...wun die no matter how badly injured he is...being bombed and slashed with deadly wounds and still standing up.....what the hell....

And many story plots which I dun like....

What I like is the 10 commandant sword.

i dont like Haru cause he's to dramatic once in a while and Elie is dumb. But the story was ok to me. ending was hanging though

I love the Rave Master manga a lot, but I never really got into the television show for some reason....But I still love it anyway!!

yup. thats "Rave Master".....and the manga continues unlike the anime which hangs!!!!

MANGA is publishing it serially in a weekly magazine.

As for the comic, 33 volumes are put on the market in May, 2005.

Yup, watched that a couple of times and it's really cute though..PLue..wish that i had a pet like him..sieg hart..really really cool but kinda scary at times...haha...hope the anime coutinues...really curious about the next adventure...
