I don't know if I've mentioned this previously, but a new manga series out on the market which I've come to enjoy is called Remote. The principal character is Kurumi Ayaki, a perky police officer who retired from the force to get married, but had to return when she discovers that she doesn't have the money needed to pay for her wedding.
Back on the force, she agrees to become the new partner to Inspector Himuro, a brilliant young detective who, for reasons yet to be explained is an an emotionless cipher who's locked himself away in a room in a huge house and doesn't come out. With Kurumi as his eyes and ears on the streets, they tackle violent crimes previously classified as unsolvable, all the while, Kurumi's personal life starts going down the drain while she works with Himuro.
The premise of Remote kinda reminds me of The Bone Collector, a movie from several years ago with Denzel Washington as a brilliant detective confined to his bed after an accident renders him a paraplegic while Angelina Jolie acts as his eyes and ears as they hunt down a serial killer in New York City. If you like crime drama, Remote might be worth checking out.
