I guess alot of people dont get to hear alot of HK music especially the underground stuff, which is where most of the good stuff is at.
Gonna introduce you guys to King Lychee, a HK Hardcore band. Some of the lyrics is in Cantonese, alot in English but the music is univeral so the language shouldnt matter.
Some informations about King Lychee:
King Ly Chee is Hong Kong's pioneer hardcore band that started back in 1999. We've just released our second record called Stand Strong...
To the members of this band, hardcore is so much more than just music. We started this band in a time when kids of our city had no sense of purpose in their lives. We brought hardcore to them, because when we were their age - we had the same feeling of emptiness until we heard about hardcore.
Our music and lyrics always contain a message relevant to life in our home - but the issues discussed (racism, materialism, music industry, amongst many others) are pretty relevant to the world over.
To find out more about us, hit up our website: www.kinglychee.com for PLENTY of more info, video's, daily news updates, an awesome forum to see what Hong Kong kids are about...
We don't get much of an opportunity for Westerners to get into us or find out about us...please feel free to spread the word. Afterall that's what hardcore SHOULD be about right? Helping bretheren out...
Peace,
King Ly Chee
