dub-L, the critically acclaimed super producer from Manhattan’s Lower East Side drops Day Of The MEGA BEAST, a high concept journey into his realm of sound and sonic creatures. Known as one of the few producers today who can effortlessly blend a wide range of styles to create anything from debauch beats to pure elegance. From his past work with indie artists such as the controls, Aesop Rock, Ill Bill and J-Live to mainstream vocalists like Common, Masta Ace, O.C. and Jeru The Damaja, you can see he’s well on his way to be being one of the most respected and prolific producers of the our times. Although dub-L’s discography is quite long and glowing, Day Of The MEGA BEAST will be his debut solo producer project ever released! And of course he reached out to some of his cohorts for some of the most exciting colabos and features to date. Look out for Mega bangers with C-Rayz Walz, the controls, GM Grimm, Rahzel, Jemini The Gifted One, Hangar 18, Breez Eva Flowin, Professor X, Fivefeet:Perspectives, Poison Pen, Karniege, The Party Fun Action Committee and of course all cuts and scratches by GROUND ORIGINAL brethren DJ JS-1. Because of the “nature” of the Mega Beast, every lyric had to be written specifically for the album within the concept and format, so pay attention. The 16 track onslaught is a superior debut and the level of intricacy in the production is unmatched. From the live Violins, Moogs, Wurlitzer’s and Rhodes to the to the gritty crate dug landscapes, dub-L rings in a new era of hip hop production.
