anyone like Pet shop of Horrors?

i love petshop of horrors, it's my fav manga of all time. but wat i've noticed is that hardly anyone knows this series! not even the anime experts i know! o_O im confused... anyways does anyone like this manga and would like to talk about it?

well Petshop of Horrors's main character is named Count D and he is a very feminine looking Chinese man who wears pretty chinese gowns and he also have nice nails. he has a pet named Q-chan and he owns a little petshop in the L.A. China Town. He claims that his store sells love and dreams and the creatures in his little shop are very odd and magical. everytime a costumer buys soemthing, they have to sign a contract, and if they dont not follow the instructions, the Count is not responsible for their death or anything else bad happening to them. the manga has 10 volumes, and it's supposed to be a horror Shojo, but its has very cute humor in it. i love it, and the characters in the book are all different and interesting...

sorry i cant seem to find a lot of manga scans...

i strongly suggest read the manga instead of the anime, the anime is not very good in my opinion, it cut out so many things from the manga and they dont have many episodes.(they also made Count D un-sexy T_T lol)

I love Pet Shop Of Horrors. I have every volume of the manga released so far and the only DVD thats avaliable. I wish they would release more of the anime. I love the relationship between the Count and the detective, its so great. :D

Whats your fave story in Pet Shop? I like the ongoing story of The Detective and the Flowers and the story about the dragon who is a little girl. I forgot the name and I dont feel like going upstairs to find what volume its in.

i like many naruto characters. i used to LOVE sasuke, well still do, but mine favs has to be 1)Shikamaru 2)Hinata 3)Gaara

my fav story in the PSoH is the one with the Chinese little girl and the tiger painting, and the one with Wang the cook(thats when T-chan comes in XD i love T-chan).

You know I always wondered how it would end. Dont tell me though HAHA! I dont want it to end. Well theres always Naruto, I dont see it ending anytime soon. And thats fine with me, I still find it interesting. I buy the manga as they release it, but every week I read the translated version online. So Im current with where they are in Japan. Where do you live? Your lucky they release the manga faster to you.

actually i live in canada although i have a chinese flag displayed. lol im a proud chinese. i read the online english translated version also. lately i've been looking for chinese tranlated ones and see if they go any further cuz i heard that in japan the manga is way beyond whats in english.

T_T too bad PSoH is so short. but the ending is great and it's still interesting to read them over. i pick up something new every time i read them.

Yes I read them over when I get the chance too. I always wonder though, like how it will show animals with a human side as well. I wonder if that is to say that we are not so different from them? Not entirely sure but its a thought.
Canada? Its a beautiful country, but I could never live there. When I went there (Ontario/Niagra Falls) everyone was so relaxed and patient. Definatly NOT me. I hate how they give you a million coins in change too, I came back with $25 in change :shock: But I would like to go back sometime and take my friend, who has never been out of the US, much less out of the state he was born.

I wish they would just release the manga for Naruto here without waiting for Shonen Jump to run it. They want you to buy the magazine as well as the graphic novel. I think its pretty dumb. I want to be on #23 or whatever it is they are on in Japan. But I dont really want the anime to release here. They will either tone it down or turn it into a kiddie show. And definatly they will have horrible voice actors. I love the Japanese voice actors for Naruto they sound exactly how I imagined they would.

i love the way PHoH put animals into human forms, it's fasinating. all the constumes ing the series are extremely well done. it must took the author a long time to draw. -_-;;;

lol canada is cool...except we really lack asian things here...so CHINA RULES! lol

i know people who buys the english shounen jump...and they are really behind in every manga. i saw it and im like: you're only here! i finished Hikaru no Go a year ago! lol and naruto has gone much farther than Shounen Jump also. IF they make naruto into crappy english version, i will scream, and tell all the children to go back to sponge bob. the english voice actors are very unsuitable for the roles. they messed yu gi oh up really badly. i like it better when yugi burned people.

Yes in the first volume I have ( I dont know if they include different things in different countries) the author of PSoH complains of how he made the costumes so detailed and how it was a pain to redraw them every frame. I think its a nice touch, and I also enjoy how he draws backgrounds detailed as I have seen many manga where there is no background at all.
Yeah YuGiOh was alot better in its original. I kind of lost interest though, as it seemed to get a bit repetitive, but the manga is good. I havent kept up with that though either. Im too poor to buy all the manga Id like to own.
