View Full Version : Art Teacher?
I'm a 17 year old girl from Sweden, and I got a dream: to become an art teacher in Japan, teaching students from age 15-20 or so.
I wonder; what do you have to study to become a teacher in Japan?
Is it hard?
What do you need in general?
Everything about becoming an art teacher.
Thank you anyone who answers to make my dream come true.. :thankyou:

It's rare for a place like Japan to hire a foreign art teacher, as there are plenty of artists in Japan, who are cheaper and more fluent and less hassle...so maybe you should explore some other dream, like studying art there. :) Good luck!

Whatever your dream is , go for it!!
I totally understand you. I was 16 to 17 when I found my dream. And so , coming to japan.
I mean , Who would have ever imagined the palestinian girl from poverty could have ever made it so far!! My friends and teachers laughed at me , but , here I am!!
So if you wanna be an art teacher , I think (only me) that you should start studying art in Japan. And no , Japanese do not exclusively prefer Japanese artists , sure in manga and animation they do , but if you could come out with your own individuality in art , I'm sure Japanese people will appreciate it.Furthermore Japan is a really big bag of options. So I can't tell what you can do here for sure , only you can know that.
I don't mean to fill you like a balloon , but I'm trying to tell you that if you really believe in what you do , then go for it till the end.
One last sentence "Continuety is success!"
Fight! :box:
Thanks a lot!
Though I know that it may be hard to get into a japanese university? At least I heard so..
As said before, anything can be accomplished if you put effort into it.. But why not try studying art in Japan first? that would open many o opportunities and let you experience such a fantastic culture in close quarters.
Yes, I will, but first I have to finish my two last years here in Sweden.. Then I hope I can afford going to Japan to study..
By the way, does anybody know if there is a Swedish school in Japan, and maybe an URL for that one?
