Which is your favorite console? I don't know if this has been made before. This will serve as an up to date version!

I like PS2. I think the graphics are just as good, if not better. Many, many titles too. XBOX has Halo and Top Spin going for it, but that is about all I like. They do PCs much better! Gamecube is more anime like, and "arty." If you know what I am saying. Though I want to play Gamecube, and I am getting an XBOX for X-Mas, I like PS2.

Well, I own an Xbox, so I can't compare with the others. In addition to Halo, there's Fable (haven't played it meself). Have they released any of the Splinter Cell, Star Wars fo rthe other consoles yet.

Oh and don't forget American Chopper for the xbox :D

Starwars KOTOR and KOTOR 2..... I must say they must be some of the best games ever.
But PS2 has got the better DDR games and that is something that must be taken into thought. I agree with Bamafan, that the GCN has much better anime related games. other than PS2 and Astroboy.... retro anime if i have ever heard of it.
$.02 take it or leave it

My favourite console is the Gamecube. By the way the PC is not a console.

Ok let me rephrase people, for those who are coughsmartalecscough. Since I am never technically correct, the PC is in the category because you PLAY FRIGGIN GAMES ON IT.

Sorry I have a cold and stuff. It doesn't matter. Console is the generalized term. The PC is played just as much as all of these.

On a Console you mainly Play Games, DVD's and Music, a PC can Word Process, Image Edit, Scan images, Design Web sites, Design Games, Design Programs, and a Million other things, as well as Play games, music and dvds."

Here's a better way to put it, what's your favorite platform for games? PC is technically a platform that games can be played on.

Anyway, I've owned them all at one time, but the Gamecube got old fast. It felt like the old N64 days. PS2 was fun, but when most of the games started feeling like interactive movies or mostly fluff, I sold it last year. I currently have an Xbox and recently have been less than enthused for it due to Halo 2 not living up to its reputation. Though, Ninja Gaiden is still an absolute blast to play along with the promise for Rare games in the future.

Though the platform I prefer the most is PC. It's a harder to set up to play, but PC games not only create the best graphics, but games like Half Life 2 have basically confirmed that PC games are the most immersive games yet.

My PC! Why waste money on a console if any of them is vastly outclassed by an even halfway recent PC? :D

Well when your asking what is your fav. gaming machine when your asking there are more consoles so its easyer to catagorize the PC under the console in this poll. It plays games yes but its not a console. but I understand what Bama is saying it plays games and gamers mostly use it for games like a console but anyways i prefer the PC becuase it has better FPS and RPG's on it

Hell, I don't really have a favourite anymore. I got each system with enough time between each purchase to realise the strengths and weaknesses of them all.

The PS2 has the largest library out of all three, complete with those unusual quirky titles like Katamari Damshi and Gitaroo Man. Ability to use original PlayStation games with cleaned up graphics and sometimes faster loading times.

On the other hand, Sony, in the US at least seems to cling to an archaic approval process that keeps some games out of the US (Metal Slug 3), causing companies like SNK to jump through hoops of fire and razor blades to get other titles released because they aren't 3D (King OF Fighters) while games like the Guy Game can get instant approval because it's ok to hold a spank-fest and masturbate to your PS2 and deprive some other companies the chance to release games with merit.... all so you can see boobs.

The Gamecube has excellent 1st party games and not much else at the moment. True, RE: 4 is coming, but Metroid/Zelda/Mario keep me anticipating using my cube again. One bad thing about Nintendo is that they released a network adapter they never even planned to use past one game, PSO online. Truly sad that they grasp the ideal that the internet will never pay off... kind of like the folks who didn't invest in Yahoo when they had the chance. "$16 a share? HA!, this will never work!"

The X-Box is a good system now. A year ago, it served as a dust collector and something to balance my wall unit. But with games like Star Wars: KOTOR, Splinter Cell, Rainbow Six: 3, Ghost Recon 2, Halo 2 and many more, I have a reason to use the damned thing now. I am now finally realising that MS had the perfect strategy; market the hell out of a machine that while weighing a mean 400 pounds, sets the ground floor of the future of gaming. Structured online gaming service, better specs than needed at launch and a decent library of games. Sadly, it also has the Guy Game. Damn.

So you see, all have strengths and weaknesses.

I would elaborate more but I just woke up after falling asleep during this post.

I own a PS2 and my sister has a Xbox and we change consle from time to time. I think that the layout of the Xbox controller is pretty bad but after awhile you get used to it but it doese still not feel right. The games that I mostly play on the Xbox is Ninja Gaiden and DoA3 and I like both alot especially Ninja Gaiden. I can't say that the Xbox is a bad console but it feels more like a computer than a console IMHO.

The PS2 on the otherhand has a good layout of the controll and you can easily make combinations and fast shifts of buttons easily. I own alot of PS2 games and my favorite games are Zone of the Enders: 2nd Runner and Soul Calibur 2. I can't say that the graphics of the PS2 is bad but sure, it can't keep up the same graphiccs as the GC or the Xbox but the graphcs isn't everything.

I play on the GC only at my friends so I've only played same games but the only thing I don?t really like about the GC is that the d-pad is to far down and that the shoulderbuttons are irritating to push :P The Naruto game series to the GC are extreamly fun.

i have an xbox, it's pretty good, i hope i can modd it sometime

I like PS2 for it's simplicity, large game library and cheaper games. I played it sometime at my friend's, Pro Evolution soccer is just amazing :-)

my concern is that this console rivalry will continue to promote newer and newer consoles and versions in shorter periods of time, making our games and consoles obsolete and trying to take our money faster and quikcer and in bigger quantitities :worried:

one question, the PC is not a console right? you should have written platform instead :?

Oh, most definitely a PC. You would be insane to go against a PC. Xbox games will eventually go on the PC. You can have other video games on the PC that are better than Gamecube offers. Thus why I have a brand new laptop and a PS2(chose it for my birthday)

There should definitely be an "All Of The Above" choice. I went with PS2, though. Final Fantasy, baby!

I'd have to say X Box is my premier system, though I do have a PS2. X box live, is the bomb diggity, and so it gives me the options to play friends from near and afar. Not that the PS2 is anything to sneeze at, I mean it has its quality games as well. However, I can't say that I'm a huge Gamecube fan, man that kinda got a little old and kiddie.....My vote is X box hands down....Halo 2 is awesome....

I have all 3 and it's hard for me to find that one out. The PS2 has the premiere single player games like Metal Gear Solid 3, Katamari Damacy, Grand Theft Auto, Shadow Hearts Covenant and Gran Turismo 4.

But Gamecube just has that certain little charm and quirky Nintendo games like Metroid Prime 2, Paper Mario 2 and Pikmin.

The Xbox is best for multiplayer gaming though Fable and Star Wars KOTR are amazing games in their own right.

I guess the Xbox is my favorite, only because I have the best set-up for it. I got Xbox Live, HD-TV connections and Dolby Digital 5.1 with it.

PlayStation x for sure. We should all think of it , what has brought the world to a new era of gaming ?? How was life before the playstation has appeared ??

I now wanna own a Playstation 2 , but nothing in the world could replace the love of playStation in my heart .. (ichiban suki desu!! )

Hmmm....

I only own an X-box. Thing is, I can play all my friends back home in the states with it. LIVE is nothing short of a godsend. Hell, it's like free international calling, too.

Halo 2 rules.

Wanna get killed? Let me know!

Meh, I never really liked X-Box. Hardware-wise, it's vastly superior--but that's because it's really just a PC with half the features taken out. Maybe if it had some better games, but First Person Shooters aren't enough for me to let Gates own any more of my soul than he already does. :D

Ironically, my favorite console is PS2--and I know all too well it's the most technologicly deficient of the bunch.

But between the PC-Wannabe X-Box and the hand-sodomizing controllers of the Game Cube, there really wasn't any better choice.

My favorite has to be the PS2. I can name two good reasons. One, I have more games for it than anything else (I own a PC and all three consoles listed). The second, and more important in my opinion, is the controller. I admit that FPS and RTS need to be played on a mouse and keyboard (or a trackball if you're wierd), but since there is an adaptor to plug a keyboard and mouse into the Xbox as a controller (and hopefully one will come out for the PS2 as well), that becomes less of an issue. For anything other than FPS and RTS, however, I feel that the PS2 controller is the way to go. It's classic, fully functional, comfortable, and easy to use. And as such, GO PS2!! ^^
