AAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH!
Sony sent out a game demo that erases whatever memory cards you have in the slots when you put the disk in. We got a post card yesterday AFTER my youngest son erased years of gaming stuff on two memory cards. Both of my boys are extremely upset.

Did this happen to anyone else?

a company as big and credible as Sony would make some kind of payback for such a thing? I would hound them to death till you got something for your loss. Good luck!

The one that just came in the mail? I think (hope) my files are still there.... At any rate, my bf's card is in right now I think, so all I'll lose is Katamari Damashi.

Now, if it were my near 100% FFX-2...

keiichi i belive you had to sign up for the ps2 underground thing that they had.. and frank i guess you did lol if you have a ps2 but if you guys do happen to get it plz PLZ take your memory card out you dont wanna lose you data like i did :(

Oh yeah, I signed up for that thing when I had a PS before (though didn't subscribe) and got some free discs. I forgot where they had came from. :p Thanks for the recall.

Yea, I've just checked and my files are all fine. Perhaps it's a certain demo that's doing it?

All you'll lose is Katamari? It would be a shame if that were to happen because then you would become an obsessed freak like me trying to finish it all over again! Damned catchy theme songs and excellent game play, so addictive!

Seriously though, I can't believe that Sony let this bug slip by.

Thankfully I found the demo of absolutely no interest this time, or I'd have been screwed.

yes!!! all my stuff is fine too! :relief: oh wait i have a gamecube :homer: oh well if i was in the middle of a game i would just wait for a while till i forget alot of it and start over(works for me because i like improving) =(
