I was doing so well with my Japanese study when all of a sudden, a friend FORCES me and my wife to play World of Warcraft. Argh! It's so much fun I haven't found the time in a week to study.

I just recently got WoW and made an alliance, human paladin that is on level 5 right now. It's a fun game...good thing I got break from school because if not, my grades would suffer.

Hello. Has anyone actually played this game from Japan? Blizzard told me there are no Japanese servers yet so we play at our own risk connecting to American servers... If someone has played it, how is the performance? I bought the game anyway so hopefully it performs well from the Tokyo area...

They'd probably ping a lot better than american servers.. then there's the whole silly language problem..

I'm currently playing WoW... on a high population Archimonde (PVP) server, but it's starting to lag a bit, especially when it's daylight hours states side, so I might move to the medium population, Burning Blade (PVP) server.

The High Population servers lag, sometimes a lot, sometimes not at all.Medium servers don't lag, except when it's a lot of players/objects on the screen. I'm sure the Low population servers don't lag at all, but I haven't tested them yet.

Send me a /whisper if you wanna group up and quest... I'll help you level up to my level if you start a new character on my server. I usually play every night after 6pm or so... (except fridays and saturdays ^^;) I might be on either server, as "Kurozaki" (undead warlock).

For those of you who are already playing, which server are you on?

It is really fun, atm I have a lvl24 Night Elf Hunter and one lvl24 Gnome Rogue. :cool: :cool:

It is really fun since there are meaning to all quests(in some mmorpgs the quests are really lame). You can go into Instances with your friends or just a group of up to 5 people and then battle elite mobs that are tougher than normal mobs and a boss at the end and often some mini-bosses. You can fight against the opposite faction Alliance vs. Horde in PvP wich can be really fun or irritating if you get ganked :okashii:

It's a great game, the only problem atm is that raids are not fully supported yet since the servers can't handle all the ppl at the same place at the same time but hopefully this is fixed. :relief:

Raiding horde, the only problem was the it lagged so much that the NPCs couldnt attackus and we could neither do anything except run around because of the lagg but we lagged the whole orc city :blush: :blush:

ive had the game for about a month and i have a lvl 14 war. in the server silverhand.

warcraft 3 is awesome...i dont hav it yet but ive played it and it is like the best strategy game ever!!!! :cool: i love it!! especially how you can have full 3d axis control of the view just like in c&c:generals....now they just need to make a game like that where its like some spaceship one i played (cant remember name!!!) where you fly in the cockpit and control robots and men to build things with a fully interactive menu and then you can also upgrade weapons and build extra ships to assist you...all i can remember is that it also had a sequel..hmmmmmmmmmmmmm :p i think it was made around 2001

You might be talking about Homeworld?

that didn't have cockpits though.. but it had true full 3d axis navigation.. I still play it now and then, and it is still the greatest strategy game of all time.

could you tell me if how? (or unless you werent from japan and not using japanese issued credit card!)

coz i bought a copy my own WOW and then when i try to create an account i noticed that japan werent included! so i tried to fake addresses! works fine, then at steps for billing info! i could not enter my credit card because the fake zip,add i used for creating account will not match my CC info especially the zipcode! i will mis 1 digit on japans zipcode :okashii:

any possible solutions?

OK i get it your playing WOW! but are you residing in japan? if so, how did you manage to create an acount! im having difficulty because japan is not included in the country list when creating account which signifies that ill be having problems regarding my payment! because my credit card is issued in japan and japan's postal codes have 7 digits! :?

WoW is too addictive, I've already lost too many freinds to that game :D.

I have only watch my friends playing it. It looks like a fun game, though I've seen to many people trying, and then spend the rest of their time playing it.

World of Warcraft was great when I played it and was damned fun, but it took too much time up in my life, plus it was increadibly addictive >.>. I've got a 60 hunter here, full epiced up with BWL gear :-)
I guess if your willing to sacrafice a fair bit of time to play WoW, or have self control, then i'd highly recommend it!

its a pain in the arse to play on a UK server from Japan. PvP is practically impossible. lag is too bad. reactions suffer.

my bro plays the character mostly now
