Alright, so I tried a little bit of Rosetta stone.
What do I think?
Well number 1, they do teach you the japanese language, but not as great as I would think they should.
Number 2. They didn't really introduce particles nor explain them...
(maybe it's the program i have)
number 3: It relies on the user to teach themselves...
The program provided sounds it also gave you a 3 step process from romaji to kana to kanji when relating to words.
It also provides font characters from romaji/kana/kanji.
pictures are associated to words so they sound it out and you click the picture the phrase/word represents.
How would I rate this?
I would rate this poorly because it did not meet my expectations of a langauge teaching program.. Best thing i've seen around is the ASL Browser (http://commtechlab.msu.edu/sites/aslweb/browser.htm)
where all a person has to do is : Monkey see, monkey do.
I would rather see a webpage that explains and teaches me the language instead of pictures and a bit of font.
Any comments?
