Today we will be learning: Nihon___

Nihon is the japanese term for Japan.

Go is usually an ending tag put onto certain terms such as Nihon(Japan) to signify that one is speaking about the language. Example : Nihongo

Jin is and ending term put onto words to signify that the pre-term is speaking about a person of that term... Example: Shuu-jin "Prisoner"; Nihon-jin "Japanese Citizen"; Amerikajin "American Citizen."

NOW FOR SOME SENTENCE EXAMPLE!!!

Nihongo wo yomeru ka.
Do you read the Japanese Language?

Nihonjin wa nihongo wo yomeru ka.
Japanese citizen, do you read the Japanese Language?

Inuyasha-the-kid, although I do commend your willingness to help other beginners of the language, I must say, that to teach a language, you must understand it. Just a thought.

Yesssssssssss! Inuyasha-the-kid and his ridiculously incorrect lessons are back! Now I can learn to speak like a (Three year old) Japanese person!

But seriously man, you should learn the language before teaching it, it's alright to be completely clueless when it comes to Nihongo, as long as you aren't spreading your lack of knowledge around. Heh.

I know "wo yomeru" is OK now, but maybe 'ga' still sounds a little better.
Also, even for a guy, "yomeru ka" would be awfully abrubt and curt in addressing the Japanese people.... :okashii:

I think he means it's weird that the smiley is supposed to be 'okashii' but it says 'ayashii'. :okashii:

I think he means it's weird that the smiley is supposed to be 'okashii' but it says 'ayashii'. :okashii:
It could have been intended as a joke...or a comment on the smiley itself :p anyway the expression is clearly closer to ayashii imo.

From Slang To Proper Talking Like Do You Want To Have Sex Is "yaruka!"
<--- isn't it "yaritai no" even kill bill pointed this out. >_< Yet, I learned it from one of my japanese amigas. ^_^

GOMEN(ASEI)

yes, and okini means thank you. >_<

but really, it would help if you continue with japanese. Seriously, some of the stuff you pointed out is confusing and totaly kills what I've been learning from my japanese buddies and college classes. Just review back what you learned.

also, you use ga for negative things and to point out and existing state. Anyways, keep on learning. And do not tell strangers to suck your "chin chin" it is not right.

Should be "can you read..." Also, ga is more common for potential forms, even though o is used.
