Entering a Japanese University

So , I am studying at a japanese language school for a 2 years course. However ,

I really have a desire to enter a university. I know I am not at a good enough level to enter as a regular student , so I was thinking of all the possible alternative solutions . I know there should be a huge variaty of options , I only don't know where to look. Anyone could reccomend any advice around this ?? Like any English conducted special courses or whatever ??

You can start out as a Exchange student, or student of Japanese at a Japanese university.

It's my website, but, it's got information about schools that have speical programs for foreigners who are learning Japanese. I found this info before finally going abroad myself, I went to Nanzan in Nagoya.

I would like to start as an exchange , but the problem is I have just finished high school and yet not entered a university in my country , and even if I did , I already know there ar not any exchange programs with Japan back there at all , unlike it is in America.

I would like your personal advice , please tell me what to do ?

My advise is to enter a university in your country, and from your university, apply to a study abroad program that another university offers. You can do that!

If you do it that way, your time abroad will most likely not count directly back for college credit, but you're not doing it for the credit right?

Also check this I just saw. http://www.usservas.org/about.html Also, the first time I went to Japan I was an exchange student thru YFU, Youth for Understanding International Exchange. See if you can find anything about them online.

I highly recommend going to college though.

Also, try asking on the discussion boards on my site if you haven't already. Maybe you can get some new info too.

Most of the young people I meet in Japan though (hey, I'm 25 I'm young too) are either in college on exchange, or have just finished college and come to teach English. There are also many universities that do Internships in Japan.

I know quite a few French people who came over doing internships sponsored by their school!
