There's a really nice foreigner-run English-language website on Hiroshima:

which apparently USED to have a forum.
When I lived in Taiwan, the Taipei-based web forums were indispensable because people could ask about where to buy things or what certain neighborhoods were like or whatever, and get really precise advice. That only works at JREF if you life in Tokyo or get lucky with whoever's browsing that day and happens to be from your town. ;)
So, know of any city-based or regional English forums? (Or even really good websites with residents' store reviews and stuff.)
I've looked at the JREF director and it's not really made for this kind of thing.
