I'm going travelling around Japan with a backpack once my work placement in a hospital finishes, but I don't want to throw out my suitcase or nice clothes before I leave. What's the cheapest method of sending something large like a suitcase to England? I can't take it with me because it's too much of an encumbrance.

Thanks! I think I'll use the former, seems to be cheaper.

The maximum weight limit you can send at once is 30kg and they are very strict on that one. When I sent some boxes home I had a 20kg limit and had packed them well, all under 20kg except for one, which was 20.090Kg... after arguing this to the guy behind the counter I made a big show of removing a pair of socks and resealing the box before weighing in just under the limit. Want to be any more pedantic?
