I was playing my game on my NIntendo DS (Feel the magic) the other day, and I switched the language from english to japanese. 99% of the text was Katakana. And since katakana words are loan words derived from english, I made a interesting discovery:

(Since I no longer have that program that translates romaji into katakana or hiegrana I cannot , unfortunately, display the characters in katakana)

Sutoorii.

Or Suto(long o)ri(long i)

Now say it outloud, doesn't it sound simliar to story in english?

I forgot how to pronouce "r" in japanese in romanji, I always say it like the english "r" <-- (It isn't, by the way.)

Also in the titles of the games on english mode in Feel the magic, there is a japanese speaker who pronounciates it and the alot of the words do NOT sound like the american verison. For example (And this isn't in the game, just an example) bed in japanese is beddo. The way the title of the minigames were spoken was just off. This is probably because the native japanese speaker was saying the romaji equilvient of the word.

As for saying "r" like the Japanese. I think it's kinda like the "r" in "reverse", "romance", and so on. But it's better if ask to the nearest Japanese embassy on the matter.

It should be noted that the Japanese title of the game is "kimi no tamenara shineru". Heh... heh... heh... kinda like a title for a mushy doujinshi.

I think that the title translate or interpret into something like "I will die for your sake" or "Your sake, I will die". IF the North American titles of the games in the game aren't like the Japanese titles, it's understandable, the main title is already that different.

Anyway. Sega definetly planned for the game to appeal internationally, the obvious thing is that the face of the woman of your dream can't be seen and she exist nothing more but a silhouette (but describe as having a nice body).

Obviously in the game, you play a person who was entranced by a beautiful girl that you're wiling to do anything (which explain on why the title is like that).
