Definitely one of my favorites. Spike and Jett are like anime versions of Riggs and Murtaugh.

Remember the one episode where Spike fought that guy who was all dressed up and always smiled and kind of bounced around everywhere? Yeah, he's my favorite, besides Spike and Jett. That was the first episode I ever saw...and the freakiest, in my opinion.

i hated it. the wolf one was better.

Perhaps you're talking about Cowboy Funk. I think it's the funniest episode. Cowboy Andy is my hero.
Who is everyone's favorite character?
Faye :-)

No no...not Cowboy Funk. I know that one. Yeah, Andy's great ^.^ I'm talking about a more serious episode. The final confrontation was in a carnival, I think. The bouncy guy was kinda fat, and just weird. Dressed in a black, almost Jack The Ripper-esque outfit.

ooo. Pierrot le Fou. Yeah, that one's nice. Brain Scratch, the episode about the religious cult, is pretty weird too.

Yep! You stole my answer ^.^ I found it in an episode guide and was editing my post when I got the "new post" e-mail.

I, personally, am all for Naruto

WOOOO!!! Me too.
Anyways Cowboy Bebop ranks up there. My fave character would definatly be Ed. And as for fave episode it would have to be "Mushroom Samba"

Let's be serious now. You can't honestly compare an anime like Naruto to one of Bebop's calibur. They aren't even close. Naruto can be entertaining, Yes, But it isn't even close to the quality of Cowboy Bebop.
"Yes, But it isn't even close to the quality of Cowboy Bebop."
why?
dorkist
Dec 15, 2004, 10:09
why is it that every forum I go to, wherever a specific anime is mentioned, Naruto somehow gets dragged into the discussion?? Since this is a COWBOY BEBOP topic, let's just stick to that and not talk about how Sasuke is hot or whatever =P
Cowboy Bebop changed my life. Seriously. If it wasn't for Spike and Yoko Kanno, I wouldn't be obsessed with Japanese animation XDD It definetely is one of the best series' created ^^ I don't really have a favorite episode 'cause they're all awesome, but the mentioned "Pierrot le Fou" and "Cowboy Funk" just scream of good times :-)
and who else thinks Mai Yamane's voice is orgasmic??? XDD Whenever I listen to 'Blue', I always cry TT__TT

i love it. i was really surprised how well it did on adult swim.
ed is absolutely hilarious, spike is down right kick ***, faye is the drop-dead sexy woman and jet.. has that metal arm thing.
HELLO. those are the ingredients of a classic anime.
though the manga was too short for my tastes.
Japanimaniac
Jan 7, 2005, 04:20
Yes. No anime is complete without a metal arm thing. :-)

Yes. No anime is complete without a metal arm thing. :-)
but of course. that and the sexy woman with enormous boobehs, a guy that smokes like a chimney and a hyperactive kid that talks in third-person. XD

You cannot but live in Japan. :relief:
In 2004, animation more than 130 titles was produced in Japan.
In addition, there are more comics.
In addition, light Novell is published more than 20 every month.
In addition, a lot of related books appear, too.
I cannot check all.
People more than 400,000 people gather for comic market of winter in the summer.

Actually, I would've wanted to spend some time there, but living expenses are just totemo takai :relief:. I'm a fan of anime series and visiting Japan is like going on a pilgrimage. I visited Tokyo back two years ago and found out that I couldn't afford many of the merchandise :relief: . I just settled for Jpop cds:cool: .

My brother got the entire series on DVD from Canada. They are region 1, but the film is available in the UK. Best get a multi-region DVD player. Mine does very well and I can by my films from anywhere, not just restricted to buying in the UK and having to wait for them to be released here. Just check that they do have English subtitles before you buy.

Since network distribution is carried out in Japan, please buy it.
Wallpaper and a screen saver are also sold.
New animation is not made unless it drops money to a maker.

Yep. Wish they had more screen time for Julia. Maybe someone out there would be so nice as to produce the prequel for Bebop. :-)

I doubt whoever's holding onto the rights would ever let that happen; they already made a game (or two?) and a movie after SO many fan pleas. Seeing how it's already been like 2 or 3 years since the movie was out, they'll probably just let it die.
This is signaled quite loudly by a series called into replace bebop. Yes we all know the series *cough*sami-chploo*cough*; yes just like gungrave from trigun, champloo is bebop's replacement (, or attempt). So many similar characters and some almost exactly the same, all doing the same thing as the series before it. One might note that the word "champloo" has no meaning in any language, and thus might ascertain that the prefix "champ" might have been a little hint at their attempt to succeed the series being replaced. But, although the changeup to hip-hop samurais is a nice trip, its still a good half-mile behind bebop.

Yeah Ed was a she, it explains so in the 20-something-eth episode.
One of my all-time favorites. I liked staying up late to watch it on AdultSwim. It contains, comedy, action, drama and an overall anime everyone could watch and enjoy. Even though the endings might be hard to swallow, it was amazing and was done perfectly. Not a lot of series, can end there show like Bebop did.
My favorite characters are Spike Spiegel, Jet, Edward, Faye and Vicious. I like pretty much all characters because they all contain loveable traits that can fit for anyone, and they have awesome and impactful pasts.
I personally love faye valentine. Havent been on this forum in a while. so its good to see lots of new people. but i loves faye in the cowboy bebop movie.

Edward's a she. Personally, I thought Ed was a boy. But then a girl. then I found out she is a girl who is a computer whiz. Her hairstyle is quite similar to Spike's no?

If you haven't done it yet you should deffo download the OST from Bebop! Yoko Kanno is simply amazing! There is such a variety of style, that everyone will find sth he will like. It's really excellent and way better than for instance Kannos OST to Wolf's Rain (well, the ost corresponds to the movie lol!)
Oh, and btw. Ed is the best
"Maruha medama
Maruha kirei
Kuroibudouno
Amaiagi
Sankakuha gikan
Sankakuha hayai
Sakana no shippono

Hanawo kandera
