X-Box disc read probems

Does anyone else have probems with their x-box being very finnicky about reading game discs? It seems to have way to many problems loading games, or quitting in the middle of games.

to me it sounds like your x-box is old and if it isnt you may have to clean the insides, there are lots of video game retaiers that will help you with this.

Mine does this, but only on SSX tricky. Very annoying though. Yeah its getting on a bit and probably needs cleaning.

anyway, get a ps2 they last longer and come in silver slimline and ff edition! fu fu fu!

Have you guys tried putting the game on the HDD and playing it from there?

I had a hell of a job getting Silent Hill 4 to play - it took several attempts. It's not even a year old, so it's not age, plus it is hardly ever played on anyway. I just put it down to it being Microsoft. There was the thing with the power cables too. We sent for a replacement and they sent us a US one. We are still waiting for a British one - it's been months.
