hello guys, my name is rob and i am a student here in the uk. i have found this site in a search for something and i hope that maybe one of you could help me?
I am a member of my University field hockey club and in this capacity i am helping to organise a tour.
Now for this tour we are hoping to run a theme along the lines of Samuri, i must profess i have never studied Japanese and havnt the first clue about speaking Japanese however i would like to give everybody on tour a Japanese name(let me explain, for instance maybe someone has a reputation for being able to drink lots and lots, i would be looking to make up a name from the Japanese word/words for alcoholic, do you see where i am trying to go with this?) . This is my problem!
Would any of you like to give up/spare 10 minutes of your time to help me??? What i would like is to have a have a chat about the people who are touring and then maybe come up with a suitable name for them? I must warn you though that as part of a University sports club some of the information you hear could be a bit ''unsuitable'' for children and maybe not for those uneasy talking about things that happen at University.

If you dont mind helping out a total newbie to Japanese and having a bit of fun could be please post for my attention, i would really appreciate this and would be willing to help out with something in return, maybe with some English definitions or something along those lines as i have no Japanese language skills :(

Thankyou for your time
Rob

I dont think it really matters on how we pronounce them, just that they mean what they mean. Also yes i mean samurai. We just looking for good names as we are touring Italy on behalf of the City, and want to get the names spot on. Would it be possible to get your email address, as we are not ready for translation yet. Also if other people are out there that would be great help to. It would give us more bodies to work from.

Thanks in advance

Rob
