Are there any online convertors sort of like altavista's babelfish that can translate kanji readings to the romaji readings? So far I only know of babelfish which does a literal translation into english.

Crud..can't find the link. There's a site called kanjiworld somewhere which is a very good database, although not quite complete. Some of the advanced kanji don't have examples (or definitions I think).
Edit: Found it

online convertors...translate kanji readings to the romaji readingsCan you give more details on what you need ?
1. Is it a {kanji} to {romaji} convertor ?
2. Or is it a {katakana/hiragana} to {romaji} convertor ?
3. If it's 1., {kanji by kanji} or a {string of kanji's}, or even a {sentence in kanji's and kana's} ?

wow nifty device O_o
Thanks much, Carabas. The transliterator you linked, together with the infoseek translator (http://honyakuinfoseek.infoseek.co.jp/amitext/indexUTF8.jsp), gives me everything I could hope for from a smart program. Now all I have to do is study the language. Your link should definitely shortens my learning curve!
