But, during the production my skin is getting drier and drier.

ehrm...yeah, we have to paint something that doesn't live and I chose a knife, a vase with a flower and a fake-hand(I got the idea from the Sumire PV (Gazette)) and the knife and the hand are covered with blood and in the vase is blood, too...so I need to make some fake-blood that I can draw it realistic...I know, I'm not normal^^

Tora and Nao-san kept saying Fall Out Boy is nice so I tried listening to it, and it is nice~ Jimmy Eat World is also nice. I’ve been using iTune Store alot recently. (laugh)

It’s not the core melody, but rather the upper melody. The songs with upper melody are easier to listen to.

I’m good at creating music even in the recent humid weathers. (laugh)

Speaking of creating music, we want to give everyone a good report at AX. That’s why I’m setting that as the goal and working toward my best!

The interlude is not hard to play, i watched the DVD several times and looked at the grips, and then played it myself, i was quite happy when i played it, and now i practice it everyday.

The update after a long absent!

Thanks everyone for all the wishing messages and presents m(_ _)m

I’m a bit late because I thought I’ll write blog after finish reading all of them. (laugh)

Because of everyone, my birthday became a day when I thought to myself that it’s so good to be born.

Members too gave me a celebration at the recording studio, and I felt super happy ☆

Recently all I’ve been doing are making music, recording, and practicing for tour. There are many things I have to do but they are very fulfilling.

I was surprised to find out that I’ve lost 2 kg. (laugh)

Preparing for many more surprise to come in the next half of the year ☆

I am a graphics artist and have had other people do the same. the only difference was that those people 'actively' tried to pass it off as their own. Michellie never said it was hers, never said she translated it. only said 'hey look at what it says' thats it.

I support your right to state that the work is yours and that others should not use it without credit, but perhaps your way of saying so was a bit brutal toward a 16 year old child.

again, I am not faulting you for saying it is your work nor am I saying it was wrong to speak about it. only the way it was worded. I'm sorry, but I don't think you understand how much these translations mean to Miyabi and the owner of the Akatsuki site. I respect both of these girls greatly and I follow Miyabi's translations on Looking Glass and regularly visit Akatsuki for all my lyric translation needs. There is a lot of dedication and devotion that goes on with the translations. You do understand that they are doing this for fans, for people like you and me so that we can grasp the meanings of songs and read the journal's of our beloved alice nine. Piracy and plagiarism in any form is a serious act and is considered theft, especially on the internet. This is where majority of piracy takes place. Taking translations of songs and journals are also piracy, as it is the work of an individual.

These girls take time out of their own daily lives to provide translations. How difficult is it to leave a link at the end of that post? Surely, if you can copy a whole entry, you can also copy the URL and stick it on the end. Not so hard now, is it?

I'd like to give you and example on how serious this act is, even if it is what you all say as "only translations". Taking translations without credit is the same as taking a sonnet from Shakespeare and not saying it was written by him. It is apparent in both ways that the person did not write the piece, however, knowledge is lost on who did write it. Those who would wish to see more poetry of the same author would not know where to look, and that is the same with translations. If someone wanted to backtrack and look at other lyrics, they are not able to if credit is not given.

We all share a love for the same band, so why can't we show each other some love and respect? That love and respect of course also including credits to translators. Imagine how you would feel if something you put your effort into was simply just taken without a word or a thank you. Its not a pleasant feeling at all...

So, if possible, please give both the girls a proper apology so they can put their hearts at ease as alice nine. as a band means a lot to all of us. Don't you think it would sadden them to even think about fans disputing over them? ;)

But i know michelliej very good... and she doesnt know that much about crediting and stuff, she just doesn't.

And i have all the respect for Akatsuki and Miyabi for transalations and lyrics.
Thats all i have to say, i hope we dont ever have to deal with this again.

I'm not the one who deserves the apology - it should be directed at Miyabi and Akatsuki's translator. ;)

Coming from their point of view, I think they would appreciate a direct apology from michellej either through email, a note in their guestbook or something similiar. Although she did not mean to upset them, it has and their work means a lot of them. I have seen a few posts with people apologizing on their behalf, but they really need to hear it from her to settle the situation.

I'm glad you understand, as that way, you are able to see where these girls are coming from.

So, once both translators recieve a heartfelt and honest apology, this drama will blow over.

P.S. I look forward to sharing views on alice nine. with you all in future. ;]

As RukaNightmare said, most of the time, people don't like others reposting scans which is why entries are friends-locked in LiveJournal. But, I do reccomend that you sign up to LiveJournal as they have a great amount of communities dedicated to scans, graphics, media and translations. Its a great source of information. :]

Regarding the Translations issue:

I go to Akatsuki and secret alice too because that's where I read the translations. I think some people in the thread go there too... I joined the mailing list for akatsuki and theres was an update in there site on June 30... As you hae guessed, it talked about plagiarism and specified the supposedly violator (a.k.a. the bad apple... as said there) and the site... Yes, our humble thread has been linked. In secret alice, Miyabi wrote an informal letter to Michelliej about the issue... And it was pretty nasty... And there was an earlier entry when she linked a post from Michelliej...

From the information above, I think it is safe to assume that rokuban and hayato_kumazawa registered in the forums just to leave a message. And since the link to our thread was posted in two sites, Akatsuki and secret alice, we should be expecting a few more people registering and saying how they are disgusted and stuff...

I did not type this here to entertain or to make fun of the whole issue... I'm serious about this. I am not taking sides either, nor saying if Miyabi and Jiayan made the right choice to reveal the supposedly violator and the thread. I typed this to hopefully shed some light on everyone, if not, whoever is curious but hasn't researched about this yet. I really want to everyone to be friends and make this whole thing an issue of the past... But this won't happen unless both parties talk about it... I hope the best for this issue... ^_^

This forum is turning into a nightmare -___- This whole plagiarism issue is affecting the flow of the entire forum and it is really not fair on it's members. Why are people joining just to have another shot!? This is a thread for alice nine. fans to discuss the greatness of the band! Not a place to flame people. (I am not taking sides, please don't flame me, I have a neutral opinion on both parts. I am merely concerned about this forum and the members unnecessarily subjected to this issue.)

I totally understand what Miyabi and Jaiyan feel about this, I am an artist at deviantART and art theft is something that drives me crazy. So I guess its the same feeling with translations. I regularly visit secret alice to read the blog translations, they clearly take a lot of work, translations from other sites are a lot more broken. So well done on that part Miyabi, please keep your translations going, they are the best around. I wish I could apologise on behalf of Michelliej, but I'm guessing that wouldn't be enough -_-

A fun-loving, close-knit, energetic group of five, Alice Nine. bravely performed as the last band the Friday of the first Jrock Revolution in late May. Like, Miyavi, they are also part of the PS Company.

JRR: How were you approached about being a part of J-rock Revolution


Alice Nine: Our manager told us about it. We heard that other bands from the same management were going too. “Visual Kei” is a pretty specific genre, and we thought this would be a great opportunity for us to introduce what a Visual Kei performance is like. Also, this would be a great chance for us to perform our music overseas.


JRR: It seems like the members of Alice Nine are very close.


Alice Nine: Yeah, lately we spend more time together with the band compared to time spent with family and siblings. We have some new adventures such as going overseas which make us a bit nervous… but we can go forward and try our best because we have each other. We also continue to inspire each other. I think that’s a good thing for us that we are this close.


Nao: Saga told me that he was hungry during our plane ride here, so I gave him half of my flight meal. We are that close!


JRR: Do you think J-Rock Revolution will differ from or be similar to your past musical experiences?


Alice Nine: We will try to perform our typical show to the US audience, similar to what we would do in Japan. We won’t change our style just because we are in the US. We will do something that we like and do in Japan. I hope the US audience will enjoy it.


JRR: What do you expect from the festival as performers?


Alice Nine: People, who live far away from where we perform, have a music festival specifically for and enjoy our type of music. That alone made us extremely thrilled. We are ready to be part of it and want to share the same moment with everybody.


JRR: Are you looking forward to seeing any of the other artists perform?


Alice Nine: Yes - Miyavi-san and Kagrra-san. And if we could, we would like to see the whole event. We want to get inspired by other artists.


JRR: What kind of impact do you want your performance to have?


Alice Nine: We want to experience the moment and music with the audience. We hope that they will be entertained by our performance.


JRR: Have you done anything else while you are in the US?


Hiroto: We went to Guitar Center and visited Melrose to see the clothing stores there. We saw some strange stores that we wouldn’t normally see in Japan. I liked the atmosphere and view here.


JRR: What message would you like to convey to the American public?


Alice Nine: Visual kei is not just listening to the CD and enjoying the music. It conveys our culture, and we hope that people would enjoy that.


JRR: How did you become part of the PS Company?


Alice Nine: These are specific questions!? We approached the company on our own and then we had an opportunity to be in a PS Company event. We had heard a rumor from somewhere saying that “PS Company will sign Alice Nine” …but we didn’t know if it was true. So we took our information to PS Company, who decided to sign us up. We were lucky.


JRR: Do you perform any special ritual or routine before the show?


Alice Nine: We make a circle and “raise voice”.


Nao: I always wonder why… but Tora and Hiroto punch each other before the show.


JRR: Why is this?


Hiroto and Tora: We are both guitarists, and so we punch each other in the arms. It relaxes our arms before the performance.


Shou: Sometimes it makes me worry because it they get too excited by punching each other, they might somehow end up punching me…


Hiroto: Nao, Tora, and Saga get on the stage first, and Shou-kun and I are last to enter. Before we go on stage, we sometimes say, “Let’s have a good live and go get some good ramen afterwards!”


Shou: I like Ramen.


JRR: What are your dreams or goals? In 5 years?


Tora: I would like to continue to be in this band for a long time. I want to be the best in Japan after 5 years.


Hiroto: When I was growing up, I got inspiration and support from different kinds of music and bands. So I hope to someday become a great artist who could give the same inspiration and support to someone else.... When the 5 of us got together for the first time, I had never felt so excited… and that keeps me going. I am looking forward to feeling more of that in the next 5 or 10 years.


Shou: Even though there are many ways to be an “artist” these days, I want to be an artist who makes people feel that I am a great musician, or if I could, I would want to make them think that being in a band is great. I would be happy if I could keep the same passion 5 years later.


Saga: At first, I wanted to convey our music to many people and I would think that would be enough. But now, I hope that I can make people to understand how great a band and actually being in a band is. I hope none of us will have any injuries or be hungry.


Nao: I hope I can continue to do this for a long time. I would be so happy! We will be a bit more grown up in 5 years, but I hope we stay the same as we are now.


JRR: Message to the American fans:


Alice Nine: We were so excited to hear that people in such a far place were waiting for us to come! We are thrilled and want to show our excitement to you. We hope that you will enjoy our sound as well as visuals.
