The rest of the A to U tour is going to resume as planned from January 20th at Kawasaki CLUB CITTA. As for the performances that were postponed in Aomori, Sapporo and Niigata, they will be rescheduled soon and the tickets already issued will still be valid for those dates.

yeah... for some reason..i've had a dream about Tora in a body cast...o__O i dunno why. it was freaky and alice nine. and me were in the hospital trying to see him, but the nurses wouldn't let us. then hiroto started runnig throughout the hospital and when he finally saw Tora, he ran for him, but the doctors held him back. Shou was crying and couldn't bear to look at pon trying to get to Tora-kun. then the rest of us (saga.nao and me) started crying as well

well.. i felt akward after awakeing from that dream o___O

oh..and in my dream,
Nao was crying while drinking starbucks frappucino...it was wierd xD

I'll say it clearly, even if his condition has improved during those few days, Tora hasn't healed completely.
.....
But, though he surely understood our and everyone's feelings, Tora himself came up and his conclusion, in spite of it all, was "I want to do a live".

I think it's a blessing that we're given the chance to do the 5 of us together what we would have done against our will if we'd been 4.
He absolutely wanted to be there if his arm could move.

He took a strong decision and said "I'll do it".
........
If it's Tora's resolve, then I think we have no choice but to accept it.
......
Maybe it wasn't the best decision. Maybe we're being foolish.

I know. I know but...

This is life, I think.

Tomorrow we're shooting the PV.

During those few days, we've been truly grateful for your thoughts and concern.

speaking of alice nine dreams, I've had a couple

in the first one they performed for me at my b-day party, then afterwords I hung out with them and we became good friends


the 2nd dream I was at a grocery store in japan and A9 just happened to be shopping there too, I remember getting autographs and pictures with them

that was a great dream, later on in that dream at that same store I also met Gazette and AnCafe lol

it's been a while since I've had a jrock dream though...I want more lol

It's nice that tora seems to be in a better condition and even wants to continue with the tour already!
but... I don't know, call me a drag, but I'm still a bit worried about this... I'm worried that tora might overestimate his powers for the sake of their fans and the tour... but, well...yeah, just...don't mind me :okashii:

hmm.....I can remember one alice nine dream (it was after the gazette concert in Munich xD) where I saw them live and I kinda stood right on the stage (but noone seemed to notice me) and watched....
but the weird thing was that Shou wear a wide blue...SKIRT :D and when he turned and turned around it went woooooh~~~ in the air xD (wow what a description...^^")

aww Shou understands Tora xD and tigahh kun is doing better~ :3 it takes alot for Tora-kun to say "i'll do it". it's like, he's fighting to make sure that he's able to do a live along with the other members. it sounds like, he doesn't want to drag the others down, so he's making that strong decision "i'll do it".

There is a cute Interview with Alice Nine from the J-Rock Invasion! I don't know if it was posted before (It's NOT the interview which they held on stage)


One day before the J-ROCK INVASION event in Cologne, we met up with alice nine. for an interview. The band was waiting for us backstage at the Palladium, all of them wearing thick jackets. After we introduced ourselves, we started the interview.


You’re playing for the first time in Europe. How do you feel about this, are you anxious about it? What are your expectations?

Shou: This will be the second time to perform abroad for us and we’re not particularly anxious about it. We have been looking forward to coming here and to see the faces of our fans closer.

How did you get the opportunity for this performance?

Tora: Our label inquired about it to us and we immediately said that we definitely wanted to do it.

This won’t be the first time for you to perform on a festival. What do you think about the line-up for tomorrow?

Shou: We especially like it that the bands performing tomorrow are similar to us. We think it’s great, that people who are interested in the genre will come tomorrow.

Will you also hold one-man concerts in Germany in the future?

All: Definitely (laughs)!

What do you think about Germany, what impressions have you collected so far?

Tora: I especially like the bread over here.
Nao: I immediately felt really good here, it has a familiar feeling.
Hiroto: The air here is similar to Japan’s. I immediately felt very good here.
Saga: I like the cars and the buildings.
Shou: So far I’ve seen a little of Cologne, and I think the city is very stylish.

Your name is seemingly related to Lewis Carroll’s 'Alice in Wonderland,' and one of your albums also has this title. What links you with this story, does it have anything to do with the concept of the band?

Shou: We don’t have a direct link to the stories, next to our band name.
We are influenced by the pop sounds of the word 'Alice'.

And what is the meaning of the nine in your name?

Shou: All of us like this number very much. The number has a hard sound and that’s why we like it.

Your new album is entitled Alpha, what meaning does this letter have for you?

Shou: We’ve been making music for three years now, and Alpha stands for a new beginning as our corpus, so to speak.

In these three years that you have been a band, a lot has definitely happened. What has surprised you?

Tora: For a band, three years is actually not much. We’re happy that we could release so many CDs in such a short period, performed so many lives and also performed abroad. It has been three great years.

Your international fanbase has grown a lot in these years. Were you aware of this, and what do you think about it?

Nao: On our homepage you can write the band directly, and we get many fanmails from abroad. Sometimes we get the feeling that we get more emails from abroad than from Japan!

Do you read all your fanmail?

All: Yes!

The song The Last Empire from your single WHITE PRAYER is a really hard song, while recently you have various soft songs. What was the reason for this change?

Shou: Generally it may be true, but have you listened to our new album Alpha yet? It has a hard song as well.

Are there also other foreign countries in which you absolutely want to perform?

Tora: We don’t have a particular country in mind, but as long as we have fans there that want to see us, then we would of course like to play there.

How do you write your songs?

Shou: When one of us has an idea, he shares it with the other band members, and then together we make a song out of that.

During that, do you have a special concept you all aim towards?

Shou: No, we actually don’t. We trust our own creativity.

Why did each of you start to make music?

Shou: There were bands that we looked up to and wanted to be like. That’s how we started with music.

What bands, for example?

Tora: X Japan.
Nao: (consults for a long time) Ah...also music, well. Actually...I would rather have become a wine-taster! (everybody laughs) But that did not work out and well...there were several opportunities to play in a band, so that’s how it happened.
Hiroto: I’ve tried many things in my life, and making music simply fit best with me.
Saga: It was the same for me. I’ve also tried many things, but I simply liked music best.
Shou: I like being able to transmit a message through music.

And what does this message look like?

Shou: (very enthusiastic) Most of all, we want to convey a positive message to our fans, that is pointed towards the future.

Please tell us something about the band member sitting next to you!

Tora: (about Nao) Hmm.... Otaku! (everybody laughs)
Nao: (in German, with accent) I love you!
Hiroto: (about Saga) Moodmaker! (everybody laughs again, because it seemed Hiroto had said 'Nudemaker') Also someone that makes the mood!
Saga: (about Shou) Game programmer! (everybody laughs)
Shou: (about Tora) A wonderful guitarist!

Where do you see yourself in ten years?

All: We still want to be in a band around that time, preferably as alice nine.
Hiroto: I surely won’t be married by then…
All: In any case, we want to continue making music.

What kind of music do you listen to at home?

Tora: Metallica, for one.
Nao: Fall Out Boy!
Hiroto: Nine Inch Nails.
Saga: UNDERWORLD.
Shou: MUSE

Because he actually looked like him. it wasn't just because of the red hair. But it totally added to the effect. And then the hotness oozed out from him.

Yea, I think this IS a commemmoration and a respect photoshoot that Pon did for hide since he really respects him a lot. And from the interview haido san circled out, it does focus a lot on Hide. Dyeing his hair pink is so totally cool of Hiroto. I like him with the pink hair and dark eye makeup xD

And seems like Tora is getting better so we're really glad xD Hope he isn't too stubborn and he should stop if he feels any single bit of discomfort...

alice nine. were a real surprise to us – since we honestly didn’t expect Japanese to be that tall. Although they were visibly tired from the long journey to Germany, they made efforts to answer our questions as detailed as possible.

peach: Was it much surprising for you that you were to do a concert along with the other bands here?

alice nine.: Not only surprised, but also very happy, since it’s our first time to play in Germany.

peach: Did you already have an opportunity to see something of the town itself?

alice nine.: We arrived already yesterday and have done a little see sighting. The cathedral of Cologne was very impressing and the food here tastes very good.

peach: Are you already excited/nervous about tomorrow? What do you expect from the German fans?

alice nine.: Actually, we don’t expect anything! We have to admit that we can’t really estimate all this, because we have no idea what comes up to us tomorrow.

peach: In Germany, not only visual kei is very popular, but also Japanese pop music. What do you think of the different influences of pop and visual kei?

alice nine.: We are fairly surprised! In the end it doesn’t matter whether people like pop or visual kei. The most important thing is that the people think about Japanese culture and try to understand it. Only that matters.

peach: Do you yourself like pop music?

alice nine.: Of course! We like it and we also listen to it.

peach: How did you get down making music? Which bands were your idols and how did you find the suitable instruments for yourselves?

Tora (guitar): A friend of mine had an electric guitar and always practiced a lot with it. I liked it so much that I thought: Hey! I want to do that too!

Hiroto (guitar): I already wanted to form a band and do similar kind of music when I heard X-Japan for the first time, in elementary school. I found X-Japan very very cool!

Saga (bass): I’ve tried out all instruments and bass was best for me – so I stayed with it…

Nao (drums): I’ve been born with the urge to spin the sticks. I always wanted to play drums and I’ve always done.

Shou (vocal): Vocal is the most important part of a band. Therefore I’ve always wanted to be singer.

peach: Speaking of vocal… In Germany, there are hardly people who speak Japanese and most fans know either a small bit or none. How do you think about that?

alice nine.: Primarily, it’s a matter of the music. It’s a universal language that everybody understands. Besides, we’ll let a few German words flow in for the fans, e.g. “Thank you very much!”, “I love you”, “We’ll come back again!” (everybody laughs)

peach: In your opinion, what’s so special about Japanese music, what do you think is the reason for its popularity/success overseas?

alice nine.: Music from Japan has already been represented for a longer time here, but more in the underground. Like it’s the way with many things, that are in the underground at first, and become popular then, it happened also to Japanese music.

peach: Besides J-music, mangas and animes are popular. Do you also watch animes or read mangas?

alice nine.: You’ll probably hardly find a Japanese who doesn’t have any animes or mangas. We like “Bleach”, “Gandalf" and “Jo-Jo Strange Adventure” most.

peach: Is there a country where you’ve always wished to play?

the whole j-rock addiction started in april 2006 when a friend of mine told me about some japanese singers (aka Gackt, Hyde) she wished to listen to because she didn't know how they sounded and I decided to do some research and maybe buy her sth for her birthday....xD *had NO idea of jrock till then*
my first song was sth old from miyavi and it scared me a bit....lolz :D
but then...IT TOTALLY OVERWHELMED ME and I found out about more bands...
first gazetto or laruku really caught my attention, then several other bands and then I discovered alice nine and somehow they became my favorite after all :hihi:

I must admit that the first song that really brought me into jrock was Hoshi no suna by gackt (although its actually not the most jrockish song...^^") I simply found it soooo beautiful that it made me want to discover more... (besides making me cry xD)
though when it comes to j-music, I listen to very different bands/singers I think... :sick:

However Jpop was more my thing before I listened to Jrock. :-)
