I didn't recognize them at first when the picture was loading...cause of Satsuki... :mad: but I knew that was Takumi, Ao, and Ryo... and I could read there names... :lol:

I'm not sure just how old this picture is... but it's before Mika and that is most definitly Ao so no Shun... so I'd say... umm... old... haha. My very educated guess would be around mid 2002... cause that's when they released "hitsuu kizuato" single... anything earlier then that was demotapes and any later Mika was a member... but don't quote me on that... Mika joined in March 2003... the band started in early to mid 2001... I figure it takes a while to get the band situated and make a name for themselves before they get their flyers in magazines... like I said... just a guess... :relief:

"Zenkeiiro Kusari Hateru Ima Yuiitsu..." is the same as "torikago to Maria"... I just listened to it last night and it's the same... unless the "torikago to Maria" song I had way back when was named wrong... though I remeber it as not as good quality and possibly shorter :? Maybe it's a re-release under a different name... :clueless:

I finally found a site that has Yurikago but it is so much money :( I've been getting my ReS stuff from GKWorld and Free-Will America's ebay stores. THey are very cheap, reliable, and authentic. I think I'll wait a little while and see if either of them start carrying Wither, Mizu yume miru chouchou, and Yurikago... and eventually Protoplasm. If not I guess I'll have to pay that much. :relief:

ah... it is true I have no life... so I did an ad-lib using ReS... here's the tale... enjoy!!! :lol:

Once upon a time there has a young TRAVELLING MUSICIAN named TAKUMI. He was SLEEPING in the DESOLATE forest when he met SATSUKI, a run-away STRIPPER from the DRAG Queen RYO.

TAKUMI could see that SATSUKI was hungry so he reached into his BAGS and give him his BELOVED RAMEN. SATSUKI was thankful for TAKUMI's RAMEN, so he told TAKUMI a very DISHEARTENING story about Queen RYO's daughter MIKA. How her mother, the DRAG Queen RYO, kept her locked away in a BATHROOM protected by a gigantic SHUN, because MIKA was so CHEWY.

TAKUMI GASPED. He vowed to SATSUKI the STRIPPER that he would save the CHEWY MIKA. He would RAPE the SHUN, and take MIKA far away from her eveil mother, the DRAG Queen RYO, and MARRY her.

Then, all of the sudden, there was a SUDDEN SILENCE and SATSUKI the STRIPPER began to laugh. With a puff of smoke he turned into the gigantic SHUN from his story. DRAG Queen RYO HOPPED out from behind a PORN MAGAZINE and struck TAKUMI dead. In the far off BATHROOM you could hear a GUNSHOT.

I first noticed in the Mizu yume miru chouchou album cover and PV clip... but he took it out around the time of Sphire-Croid cause it he didn't have it in the pictures in the booklet or cd art or photoshoots to promote the cd or around that era.

That's as big as it is... I tried making it bigger but it gets a bit blurry. :relief:

I finished fixing it up... the expression is still a bit off... everytime I try to give him that slight smile he looked strange... :relief: I really must learn not to be so smudge happy... it really messes things, like hair, up and you loose a lot of clarity and detail with some things... I can't help it I'm addicted to the smudge tool... maybe I need to join some sort of support group to help me get over the addiction... :( :D I'm still not too happy with it so I cropped all the stuff that was just god awful... I experimented a bit with textures and other brushes to get the jacket right... who knew shrinking down a slanted calligraphy brush would make a perfect zipper brush... :? :D I rarely use textures cause I love smudging too much... I learned a little something from that so it was good practice I suppose... I like his lips and nose... that's where I put all my effort :relief: the eye really bothers me... I couldn't get it to look realistic... why do you have to have eyes Satsuki... don't you know they cause me much grief :angryfire :okashii: :D

aww... thanks... I'm just incredibly hard on myself I've been told... :relief: It's the first Satsuki art I've finished... I have one I started a little while ago of one of the shots of the Mizu yume miru chouchou PV... PV screenshots are hard to draw... especially when I couldn't capture it so I had to pause it and keep looking back and forth from DivX player :( the other one I lost when my computer crashed... I was drawing a series of ReS portraits... I only finished Takumi, Mika, and Shun... luckily I put them on deviantart or I would have lost them all... I'll eventually complete the series when I can be bothered to. :D

I was trying to read Satsuki's journal from yesterday... Satsuki's journals are hard to translate... :mad: anyway... I couldn't translate it entirely so I'll just summarize...
He mentions about the fanmail magazine and that by now fans should have a sense of the new song... he asks us to please continue to follow them (I think ^^;) then he lost me for a bit... then he mentions that once PROTOPLASM is released they will no longer be Rentrer en Soi but RENTRER EN SOI and they will cast aside their former image and continue to change... then he lost me again XD
well that's about all I could understand... I think he started commenting on the weather o.O ...and about a feeling or something or other compelling him to sing... he write too *can't think of the word* I think he just may be talking about recording for the new album... his previous entry just said that it has become an everyday occurence to be recording...

in most of Satsuki's recent entries he's been saying they've been recording non-stop everyday or almost everyday... I hope that means the new album will be released really soon... like my birthday... haha

The aren't the same... the image, the way they present themselves, the themes, and style of music... everything has undergone change... I think he's trying to say that changing the name is is symbolic for the new image and sound that "RENTRER EN SOI" and "Rentrer en Soi" are very much two separate eras of the same band and that changing the name is only natural seeing as the band has changed and grown. I'm not sure if he expects to have them treated as separate or as Rentrer en Soi as a thing of the past... I don't think he means that Rentrer en Soi is completely behind them...

Like I said... Satsuki is hard to translate... :relief:

I found this site while searching... on this site it says Takumi wrote all the music for all the tracks on PROTOPLASM. Oh I'm such a nerd... I should just wait till it comes in the mail. I'm trying to find a place to download it or hear more samples. Of course Satsuki wrote the lyrics... does anyone else ever? Not that I know of... :?

Anyway... I found this interesting... the description on that site I just roughly translated:

To "deep-sea" to "outer space" the loop (that's the best word I can come up with for that ^^;) journey from the previous albums tell the story of the magnificient evolution of half a year ago. (Meaning Taiyou no todakani basho and Tsuki de namida from Kein and Astre... it's kinda hard to understand but I'm sure what was meant is how they are going back to those albums or 'roots' and evolving the tracks) The concept and intention the band is currently stressing is "the work is rooted in the past", creates a new beginning to be expected, and refers back once more to their origins, designating self revolution as the theme. The title song 'PROTOPLASM' along with the evolutions envokes a powerful bodily sensation, then straight to the mixes which keeps describing scenery images vividly with an early glimpse (meaning the new album... yay!) and a future challenge to be matched, rooted in self revolution, as the band creates a work which offers a wise new view and possibility.

The one for Mizu yume miru chouchou or for PROTOPLASM? Satsuki's voice is kinda deeper then I expected though... I thought he'd be squeaky... haha. He's soft spoken. I could tell for a while who's who but I forget when they all talk at once or interept one one another or laugh... I'm like "whoa wait... who said what?" and then I'm confused for like 5 minutes... Takumi's voice is cute.

I don't know... I've just been in the city a lot lately and everything is so French looking so I want to dress up like Satsuki and take pictures in front of Cathedrals and in graveyards and parks and stuff... there's this one spot... it's like an arch and they used to have statues the walls of the arch but there aren't anymore... I'm pretty small so I could squeeze into one and crouch... I thought it'd make a cute picture. I just thought it'd be cute and fun to walk around as Satsuki for a day and have everyone stare at me... XD. It must be one with wings... haha.
