That my dear Kinsao is what I am for... RES is my new fixation... I will try my damnedest to satisfy all the RES needs in the world and single-handedly stop RES hunger... (as if that were possible XD) I've only become so obsessive though in the last year... I've know of them since like december/november-ish 2004 though... strange how the obsession suddenly emerged... I think it's Mizu yume miru chouchou's fault and then set in stone with Astre and Kein and forevermore carved into my very heart with PROTOPLASM XD

it is so hard to come by info on their old bands. I haven't found anything except for Rcradle and Vall'na Racill though sadly... apart from some info that is.

I have a couple Vall'na Racill songs and the MDP demo for Rcradle and their Gin no Sizuku cd. Here's a pic of him in Vall'na Racill... damn he looks so hot in this pic... it never fails it kill me O_O

OMG... ahhhhhhhhhhhh... there is a 45 second clip different from the one on the OHP of Karasu Iro no Taiji. I didn't even recognize it till the end of the clip... the vocal variety... I'm dying. Me too... I can't stop loving them. *sighs* I don't care what anyone says... they are so much better and mature musically now. Just an example... I always found Mika to be an exceptional drummer, but he lacked refinement and professionalism in his playing. The drums in PROTOPLASM and what you can hear from Karasu Iro no Taiji... he's really aquired that professional sound. He's moved up a few spaces in my book. He's now pkk's 2nd favorite drummer (used to be 5)... haha! OMG... and bass... Ryo... I always knew he had it in him... that clip from that site... I'm seriously in mad love with the bass. I was praying for some sort of prominent bass or solo or something in the song after hearing the clip on the OHP and hearing the potential for some interesting bass. I am certainly satisfied after hearing this. I can't wait to hear more. His playing has really advanced... and that clip did it for me. I mean I already knew there were gonna be great guitars from the other clip but damn... this clip too... it's so... omg... no words for this clip... you realize only 11 more day till the single... I can not take it... I'm not prepared for the full version... my heart is racing just by the two clips... O_O I'm horrified of what the new cd will do to me... I won't make it through all 12 tracks... I'll be dead. LOL.

But what you were saying in your post before... I first heard Sincerely and it was when I was transitioning more into jrock. I already knew of a few jrock bands but I wanted to expand my horizons. I was really tired of most music and I really was intrigued by the Japanese bands I listened to. While I was doing all this expanding I was looking up something completely unrelated and in my search came a RES fansite... the heavens-drive one... anyway I wasn't paying attention and I clicked it thinking it was somehow what I was looking for and low and behold I discovered them... it was fate... truly was... haha. It's the only band I've ever stumbled on. Every other band I've heard from someone else or seen picture in a mag or something where I heard of them first or someone sent me something. RES was an accident... nothing but fate led me to them. Well accident in a good sense. I downloaded the first press of Yurikago but listened to Sincerely first cause I seemed drawn to that particular title for some reason... then I found out that just a few weeks prior to my finding them they released the wither single but I couldn't find it. Then a couple month later Sphire-Croid was released and I developed a strong love for them. I knew they were going to go great places with their music. This is why they have always been special... I swore to follow them to whatever end... that they would always be my special band. I know that was the most touching tale you ever heard... don't lie... you were tearing up... HAHA.

Yes, I finally decided to grace this thread lol. I got them to work. I just opened the URL in WMP. The drums were one of the things I loved in PROTOPLASM. Whenever I listen to it I have to go "oh god, drums!" and then I climax. I did manage to get it out of my head. I actually haven't listened to it today! I was watching so many videos today, though, so I didn't listen to much music. I was just listening to Astre no Ito, though.

The new song, though, oh gosh...the drums, the bass, and the female orgasm (vocals)! lol Satsuki's range, my lord, it's not human. He must be heaven-sent haha. lol, I haven't even shared the latest RES obsession with Bre. She's been busy with work and when she comes home she's busy catching up on the Internet. I always tell her when I get new songs, but I don't think she's file-shared from me in a while. She has heard me listening to PROTOPLASM while getting ready for work. She came in the room for a minute laughing, because the synth made her think of a song from Halloween (not the movie, but music we played on the holiday, long story haha). She's been wanting me to burn her another CD for the car, so I should just make a mix and throw in some RES and see if she gets hooked without even knowing what it is haha.

D'espairsRay was an accident for me. Prior to the first time I heard their music I had never seen them or even heard their name. I fell in love with the music immediately and went off to find out more about them. Then I fell in love with the image of the band. I'm hoping there will be more of an effort in the other band members as far as the writing of music... it has been quite some time since Ryo or Mika has written anything... if you exclude on Astre no Ito and Kein no Hitsugi the speaking tracks Fukaseikai and Ito one was by Mika but it wasn't really "music". Everyone pitched in for Sphire-Croid... but since not so much... it's always Shun or Takumi or all of them together in the case of Hoshikuzu no Rasen. Iconoclasm is one of my favorites and Mika wrote it. Or what about Full moon... that song is so lovely and that was Ryo. They better on the new album or pkk will spank them. HAHA! Shun and Takumi do a good job with making such diverse songs but it's nice to hear songs written by each one of them. They all have such different styles and it really makes for an album that stands out above all others. I wonder who wrote Karasu Iro no Taiji... we'll find out soon enough... my guess is Shun. It feels like a Shun song... I'm probly wrong though... LOL.

But he love nature... strange. Uhh... he smokes... Shun is the only one who doesn't and perhaps Satsuki doesn't... Satsuki is so secretive.

The scandalaous outfit are nice but it was his personality so like my own that drew me to him... LOL. He laughs at everything and at himself... just the way he talks like "My brain software is malfunctioning" and stuff like that... he's just adorable... Sorry for this reply being late. I wasn't home all day long T_T. Anyways, I use a program called wavepad. Wavepad download can be found here (http://www.nch.com.au/wavepad) then I upload my ringtone to this site Fun for Mobile (http://www.funformobile.com/) and it gets sent to my phone, but you have to have an internet enabled phone and you have to register to get the ringtones sent to your phone, but registeration is free :-)

I agree with Erica that no one in the band automatically "gets my kicker tickin" just looking at their photos. Because of this I need to know their personalities better. I think that Ryo seems like he might be the best match for me though, and I am attracted to him (just not in the "oh my gosh I have to rape you right now" kind of way like I am with others lol)

We all know I love drummers, and tiny men... so if it's a combination of the two it can be deadly. What are Ryo's upper arms like? haha

What is up with me and the red heads lately? Red hair like that totally clashes with my natural red hair. Prepare yourselves for a very long post... LOL. I spent the last couple hours rereading diary entries. I'm too far behind... so I'll just give you guys a summary of everything they said recently and translate a couple key entries. There are just too many to translate... Satsuki has been writing several entries a day... one day he wrote 6 entries! Where does he find the time? O_O

Satsuki announced they finally completed all the finishing touches on the new album. He said the whole process of creating the album was about a half a year. He said that the release of Karasu Iro no Taiji is approaching so soon and we will get to hear it entirely. He has a bunch of random entries about a movie he wants to go see, about someone sending him a picture in the mail of cherry blossoms, something about a banquet and the releasing of tour information, photoshoots, the weather... haha... there was one entry that made me laugh so hard... all he said was the Jazz is groovy... LOL. There was another one where he says the mastering of the album is groovy... haha. Now I'm scared... RES making groovy music... haha... but a jazzy RES song could be awesome! In one he said he had a scary dream but he didn't say what it was about. There was one saying that you could see a little bit more in live photos... haha... I think he meant his chest and stomach. He mentioned something about a live video but I couldn't understand him. Man I hope to god they are releasing a live DVD! Oh... and he was very sad when April Fools Day was over... aww... haha.

I translated this entry cause I thought it was important... it's kinda "chopped up" cause I could figure out everything. Satsuki is still hard to translate even after all this time... LOL

As for Karasu Iro no Taiji

Although being an indispensable tune for in the album,

Doing a special thing in the label surface is one of the reasons (just the first board, ne?) [no clue... I think he means the weird fetus drawing that's gonna be the cover... I wonder if Takumi did drawing and nagged him to use that drawing on the album and Satsuki didn't want to and finally gave up and said "FINE!!! ...we'll make it a single! Just leave me alone!" I could honestly picture that... LOL. I wish Takumi would post his doodles in his journals... I love his doodles... especially his little crazy egg dude]

Going in the album, there is also a message which it shoots for the first time

As for Takumi... he said it was a 4 month process recording for the album. He said the album is a famous musical work of the highest quality and the impression it gives is unmeasurable... (haha a little confident, eh?) I think if I translated correctly Takumi had a little accident at their last live. If I understand right there was equipment troubles... haha... he was banging his head and hit his head on his guitar and his head was bleeding... he had to get stitches yikes! He's so funny though.... he said "it's all good" lol... he kept laughing through the whole entry. He had random entries as usual... one very long confusing one about the death day of one of his idols.

Shun... he's a butt... ahaha. He finally updated after ages though... it was on the 6th of this month. He said he's very busy and at that point the album was about 98% done. He said he was waiting and trembling over the one-man that was coming up... haha.

I haven't been paying attention to Ryo or Shun or Mika's diaries... they hardly update... there's a few new ones of Ryo I never saw... Turns out he was pretty sick . He had to go the the hospital a few times. He's been really fatigued and in pain. He's been sleeping alot. He mentioned he got lots of fanmail... poor baby... I want to take care of him :( He said he keeps persevering though and he'll live... aww... haha.

There's this one entry Mika made that makes me laugh everytime. Did you know Mika is a gardener... LOL. No I'm serious. He wrote this impassioned entry about now having 5 liquid crystal monitors at his farm shop... haha. Ok maybe not impassioned... but he called it a treasure house... or maybe he grows weed. Who knows... haha. He had some pretty long entries but they are so cute. One of them he said the smell of cherry blossoms is wonderful and there is a connection between the smell and memories and he goes into this whole thing about the fragrance... and as you are starting to swooning over his words he totally switches to the topic of healthy and nutritional drinks... LOL. Then he starts talking about Sacchan's singing (Satsuki... haha... it's so cute they call him that). Then there was another entry about lack of sleep and how it effects his muscles... if he doesn't sleep to much his brain and body doesn't heal... aww. His most recent entry was way to wordy and deep for my understanding... haha. I do know there was a part where he was saying he wanted to strive and train himself to be the kind of person who elegantly handles things.

That's a good question I never got asked to pay for shipping to Akibado's office either, but i did find this on Akibado's Auction page

The bootleg track 20060225 left much to be desired... it was nice to hear some old RES with a new live style but it's not a song... it's chopped bits of several songs... like samples... it's so abrupt... just as you get into a clip another one starts our of nowhere. There's an article on Rentrer en Soi in the new edition of Shoxx magazine. They look.....very different from what they normally look like. More natural, hahah. I was reading through the magazine when I saw a picture of this band, and I thought, "who are they?" and then I read the name and was like "whaaat??" Although, that might just be me being stupid. But he does slur his lyrics even before these recent songs... Kyo wasn't the first person to slur. (why does everything come back to either Dir en grey or The Rame... it's like a freaking curse I tell you.... Diru did not give birth to all things jrock! And The Rame haunts my dreams... haha don't ask) Yes his voice is rougher but it's also more angelic than ever. I don't think that any change RES has made is a bad one. In my opinion they have all been for the better (except maybe track 2 and 3 off the new single XD) They have expanded their limits.

I wasn't trying to make this into a Satsuki VS Kyo thing...but WE ALL KNOW Kyo is the King of slur lol. I know that Satsuki has "slurred" many time befores, but its become more apparent since Protoplasm imo...maybe because hes been singing in his deeper pitches more?

I also don't think any of the changes they made are bad or drastic either. I'm loving their new style just as much as their old one. ^_^

I LOVE the title track, Karasu Iro no Taiji... ah man, I really love it... it is so good... the detail, everything; I can't pick out one thing I like most... I'm just reduced to gibbering incoherency; maybe sometime next week I'll have recovered enough to write something a bit more intelligent about it. The track that's a bunch of numbers (I'm too lazy to check; my copy hasn't arrived so I downloaded it)... well, I don't know what to think about that, I am slightly... surprised I think is the word. XD. And I prefer the original of PROTOPLASM rather than the remix, but I still like the remix too in its own way. :-)

I haven't yet heard Karasu Iro no Taiji, but I do know that I really like the bells in Protoplasm...kind of reminds me a church graveyard somewhere in Europe. I have no idea why. o_O

I also like the vocals in that song. Goes from calm...to loud...to screaming...back to calm...etc.

I will eventually listen to Karasu Iro no Taiji, but I rarely, if ever, buy singles. Protoplasm was the exception, since it had such glowing reviews. I'm a cd kind of girl. XD

The Protoplasm and Karasu Iro no Taiji singles are more like "standard" singles with remixes and such. I thought they were going to release singles more in the format of Wither, and Mizu Yume Miru Chouchou. (title tracks, then two original tracks) But like I mentioned earlier, I guess they saved the original stuff for the album.

I'm pretty sure I got a first privelage CD. I preordered it at least a month before its release, from Third Stage, and it came with the postcard and comment paper the first press said it would. They've been pretty good with my other albums, too.

It just confuses me-- the images that they have on Rentrer en Soi's website. I even looked on BRAND X's website, and it looks pretty much like what I got, so I'm wondering if that's the way they actually come.

I just hope that I didn't get a bootleg... :/

No kwissipie... that's how the first press single is. Apparently it's the special packaging... haha... what's special except that the cd is see-through and in a normal cd case? I thought it was gonna be gold cause photographed it looks gold but it's clear. I'm so happy... I was so disappointed thinking it was gold... what a relief! XD I still kinda want to get the regular press too... I am hopeless >_< The regular press should be the red cover and possibly a regular single case. I picked mine up today. I was right in guessing Karasu Iro no Taiji was written by Shun. I'm so smart... I deserve a cookie! The lyrics are so freaking tiny though cause there is no insert so it on the little obi in orange print onto the pictures which makes it harder to read. I think my eyes are going bad which only makes matters worse... haha! And I was also right he was screaming in English. I deserve a second cookie! Takumi did the remix.... nerd! haha jk I love you. The single sounds way better in my stereo then my crappy laptop speakers... lol. I sorta like the other tracks now. The remix has it's moments. I can atleast listen without laughing now. The live track I still hate how its choppy but atleast the quality sounds better. The single was produced but RES like PROTOPLASM was so I it makes me wonder if Yukari is gone for good. My postcard is bent! I'm so pissed... I guess they didn't handle my package with care... butt-pies! I'll see if I can translate or atleast romanize the lyrics... Since the Karasuiro no Taiji single has the limited edition cover first and the normal edition cover second (I think?) I think that one might be the limited edition one and the inverted one under it on the Rentrer en Soi page might be the normal edition?

Damn it... I thought they said one of the editions the artwork would be a surprise. I like surprises. My guess is that's the limited one since they released the other one first I assume that was the regular. But what do I know... well alot but that's not the point... haha jk. I ordered both so ha! Oh man lucky for me I just put $125 in the bank... now I don't have to worry about the payment for them. I feel so relieved not having to rush to put money in anymore.

The Protoplasm remix was like a bad, wannabe hip hop remake. It sounded pretty corny imo.

Something about Shun in this pic reminds me of Kaoru (Diru) o_0 , Satsuki looks like he stole Kyo's Clever Sleazoid outfit, and Takumi reminds me of someone from Kagrra for some reason. haha :p

I agree about the remix. It really reminds me of something I would write as a total joke on my keyboard with the pre-recorded sounds haha. I considered doing a remix, and sending it to the band to show them how much potential the song has at becoming a great remix!!!

And I thought it might have been bootleg, too... since I saw the 'pressed in Taiwan' thing as well. That's what really threw me off since all the others say 'made in Japan'. The other thing that confused me was the case.

Aren't the singles usually in thin small cases?

The DVD has 3 video clips. They remade Strawberry Oblaat for the new cd. How many times are they gonna make that song... haha jk. I love that song. That used to be my favorite RES song for the longest time.

It is cheaper to print cds through Taiiwan. It still bears the same product number and printing company so it's not a bootleg. I take it RES is on a low budget after dropping their producer, doing all this touring, and recording. If they are strapped for cash they know where to find me... we can arrange a business relationship... haha... jk... I have no money to give them... I've already given it all to them!

What's the use of buying two of the same cd, one limited and one regular? o_O Maybe it has something to do with collections, but I just can't understand it. I mean, I would rather buy the limited edition of their new cd, and maybe buy another artist's cd. It just makes more sense for me. And my wallet.

Same here. There really is no reason. I bought both mainly to have them as collectables and... just to have them. The DVD and the different artwork helped this decision, too! But I've been buying their stuff (well, except for their older stuff like Yurikago because it costs so much money and it'll have to wait) because I like supporting them. ^^
