I am just so glad that I'm finally learning some Japanese after two weeks. I know pretty much words now, but my katakana/hiragana/kanji knowledge is kind of poor. Does anyone know any good sites about learning Japanese? I'd appreciate very much if get even one link. Thank you anyways

Here's two directory sites (both HUGE):
http://www.uni.edu/becker/japanese22.html
http://www.sabotenweb.com/bookmarks/language.html
This one is included in the above list, but it's really great for vocab as well as hearing skills, so I just wanted to point it out
http://www.languageguide.org/nihongo/
And for hiragana and katakana practice (as well as kanji) this place is great:
http://www.mc.maricopa.edu/~emiahn/concentration.htm
and this a good all around website:
http://www.thejapanesepage.com/
Here's a really long list of different Japanese verb endings (trust me- this is an important thing to learn!)
http://www.timwerx.net/language/jpverbs/index.htm#contents
and lastly is a website that contains a lot of grammar and obscure phrases (though this is more advanced for a beginner)

(speaking in quivering high pitched old man voice) You young wippersnappers sure have a lot of great tools for language study... why I remember when I started all we had were stone tablets with hiragana scratched into em. :-)

I still use them stone tablets just for the heck of it !
They're slower, and a tad on the heavy side, but more effective, and the templates are quite virus proof !
No down time either; power efficiency rocks the competition ! :D

Us young 'uns have papyrus and a new invention called ink. Saves on the back :-)Good for you, Mycernius. I suppose you sleep on your young back !
Well, guess how we old timers got arched backs.
It allows the ebi-posture for the best available orthopoedic kind of sleep.
No nightmares either!
You should try it sometime; bend a little, bend.
It was also considered graceful and respectable.
Now it's called aerodynamic; chic, slick, and sex-ee ! :p

when I was a kid we didn't have time to sleep too busy chiseling on those tablets

Comfortable lives you had.
With the tablets delivered to your school, eh ?
When I was young, we had to go to the quarry to cut out the tablets dangling from the cliff.
You young ones can't imagine how fun that was.
And we took quick naps while the rocks dropped, o, so sweet.
The shorter the sweeter !
