JREF study aids

Hi, as I've written before I'm going to Tokyo in October to study at 学芸大学 for 10 months. Now my teachers have started to encourage me to take the 2級 of the JLPT once I'm there. In order to do that they offered to order study aids from Japan, so my question is; Did those of you that have used them find them to be useful? Furthermore, are there different kinds so that I should ask for some special set? :? Thanks in advance!

When you arrive, go to Kinokuniya in Shinjuku. They've got a whole section of books devoted to the JLPT (all levels). I used those, and passed 2級 my first year in Japan. It might be a different form ot studying as the books are all in Japanese, but is probably a good practice to get into.
