Japanese Embassies

Ok so I posted I question earlier on this forum about going to college in Japan. I have gotten some response :p thank you all who have replied. If anyone else has any info they can give me related to that question, it would be really appreciated. I was looking into Kobe University and I read that in order to get a scholarship from the government you have to get approval from a member of a Japanese Embassy in your country? Could anyone please enlighten me more on this idea. I live in the USA in Maryland, I was wondering if anyone knew of a embassy near me or maybe in states close to maryland? My next question is what type of procedure would I have to go through to get this scholarship? Like what are some of the requirements? Thanks again. :p

Why don't you contact the Japanese consulate near you? They will probably have quite a bit of info about these kind of things.

Why don't you go to the Japanese embassy in Washington (http://www.jref.com/cgi-bin/jump.cgi?ID=8580) ? You are one of the few lucky American to live near the embassy (and not a consulate). :-)
