How does one say:

Monster
Angel
Genie
Enchantress
Mummy
Witch
Incubus
Mermaid
Ghost
Goblin
Giant
Wizard
Harpy
Salamander

Sorry about the long list, but my dictionary is not very helpful with such words.

Thanks a lot!

Monster:‰φ•¨
Angel :“VŽg
Genie : Έ—μOR–‚_
Enchantress:–‚—
Mummy:ƒ~ƒCƒ‰
Witch:–‚—
Incubus:–²–‚
Mermaid:l‹›
Ghost:—H—μ
Goblin:ƒSƒuƒŠƒ“
Giant:‹l
Wizard:ƒEƒBƒU[ƒh
Harpy:ƒnƒ‹ƒsƒ…ƒCƒA
Salamander:ƒTƒ“ƒVƒˆƒEƒEƒI(In this case it is a —³.)
However, I write it as "‰Ξε’εŽ"(a fire lizard) to distinguish it from a dragon

Let me verify the pronunciation through romanization of the words above.

‰φ•¨ - kaibutsu
“VŽg - tenshi
Έ—μ , –‚_ - seirei , makami
–‚— - majo
–²–‚ - muma
l‹› - ningyo
—H—μ - yuurei
‹l - kyojin
—³ - ryu
‰Ξε’εŽ - hitokage

Are there any two different words one can use to differentiate 'Enchantress' and 'Witch'?

And it is okay to use ‰Ξε’εŽ for 'Salamander'?

Does anyone know the origin of the words ƒ~ƒCƒ‰@and ƒTƒ“ƒVƒ‡ƒEƒEƒI?

Thanks a lot!

–‚_ = majin
mashin is also (more?) common - but it certainly isn't makami.

Let me verify the pronunciation through romanization of the words above.

You missed a long vowel on one.
—³ - ryuu
‰Ξε’εŽ - hitokage

And it is okay to use ‰Ξε’εŽ for 'Salamander'?

Hmm, 'Fire lizard' is given for ‰Ξε’εŽ in some places.

Does anyone know the origin of the words ƒ~ƒCƒ‰@and ƒTƒ“ƒVƒ‡ƒEƒEƒI?

goo knows ƒ~ƒCƒ‰ :

(ƒ|ƒ‹ƒgƒKƒ‹) mirra

I believe this concludes my questions about monsters...
(Please whatever you write also type the romanization)

I repeat my previous question about whether there is another word for 'enchantress' in Japanese or does one have to call her a witch also.

How does one say werewolf?
How does one say a catwoman? (Half cat, half woman, but not the character from Batman unless of course she has the correct name for both.)

Also, this is a question about grammar...

How does one say...
I want to go to school.
I can go to school.
I have to go to school.
I like to go to school.
I want to go to the store, but I have no money.

How do you make sentences like that with the conjugated verb plus the infinitive in Japanese?

Finally, is this correct?
Dionyusosu no chikara de, henshin yo!
By the power of Dionysus, transform!

Thanks a lot!
