Active forums in Japanese?

Hi all, I'm new here but I have a question I'm hoping someone can answer...

does anyone know of a forum like this one but in Japanese? Looking around the net (and this forum isn't really an exception to this), most forums that are frequented by gaijin are all in English, but I'm looking for somewhere where there's a Japanese section of the forum that's just as active as the English section... if there's an English section at all.

I love forums like this since I get to talk about stuff that I'm really interested in, but I want to talk to Japanese people as well, and I've found that most Japanese either can't contribute or don't want to contribute to forums like this in English. Any suggestions?

I know of two sites, though they are not anywhere near as active as the English section of this site. Nevertheless they both have a small number of Japanese regulars and Japanese-speaking foreigners with whom to communicate.

Welcome to the forum!

I understand very well what you want. Actually, there are many Japanese who frequent this forum. They either don't post at all or post only once in a while because the overwhelming number of members post in English.

If you post in the Japanese-only sections of this forum, you will certainly get responses. I think the key to making threads in these sections alive is interesting topics. We always run out of things to talk about. :souka:

Keep on posting there and I'm sure more Japanese will start responding to you! I will, too (sometimes)! :wave:

PS Look out for Nagashima-san and his translation software! He's fun and very informative. Nangi-san is, I think, part of the moderator team and will provide good information on the language and on Kansai-ben (he's from Kansai). There are more members, including me (an obasan) and young ones. :cool:

Awesome, good to hear! :cool: I'll check those out, and maybe try and get some conversation going on in the Japanese section here as well... didn't see much activity in there as of now. Thanks again, and if anyone else has suggestions, keep 'em coming!
