Great! What I really think might be a great idea is MORE pictures of buildings, sites, e.g. foreigners cemetary, the harbour....

Yokohama is a beautiful city, and needs to be shown to people. :-)

They are coming soon. I have been really busy recently but here are some Zoorasia pictures (http://www.deadhippo.com/photo_albums/zoo/zoorasia_photo_album.htm) ...getting closer. Also I have added a few Yokohama pictures to the header.

How about taking photos of a lot of patient Japanese waiting for hours ahead firework fes? The coming Yokohama Firework Fes would be the best, I suppose.
I'm impatient, so I am the last person in your pictures. :)

No, on July 17. You cannot find any good places at Yamashita koen park at 3 p.m. or later. Well, hanabi is just hanabi wherever you sit down and watch it.

And Osaka invasion to Yokohama!
The new Yoshimoto, an Osaka-based show-biz company, aquarium at the China Town would be nice for your photo site. It must be different, I don't say it'd be crappy, though. :)

good luck

ill be attending the fireworks on july ist (its not on 31st as previously stated) in sakuragicho as well
ill proabably take photos then

Here's another one.
KITTY EX.
SOGO Department Store, Yokohama
July 28-August 28
Y1,000
*If you but the ticket now, you get 200yen discount

No shooting is allowed there, but you may do it at a souvenir shop where you find outrageous price tags.

Nice website. Love your pics! Especially the one with the ever present vending machine that seems to be situated in the middle of a forest in the middle of nowhere! Great! Like they say, one needn't look too far for a vending machine in Japan no matter where you are!

Hi deadhippo,

I love your photo's from the Mount Fuji.
I have a picture of the Mount Fuji hanging in my hobby-room.
She has a special radiation, I would have loved climbing her if
I was still young enough.

unless you pushin over 50... i dont see why not. you can drive up to lvl 5 and after that is less then 1000M and the normal trip is 5 hours.

When I did my night climb there were many people over 50 climbing. A few pushing 70 I think!

I prefered the night climb over the day trip. It gets really cold in the early morning though. We made it in only 3 hours, and slept on the top of the mountain waiting for the sunrise! Very beautiful sight indeed.

It was a nightmare for me, the night climb. It hardly stopped raining and it was very windy and cold of course. If I stopped moving I would start to get chills after about five minutes. I was quite prepared too, clothes-wise. Hiking boots, waterproof pants, several layers of sweaters, snowboard jacket, hat, gloves, scarf. Going down was pretty tiring too.
