Hello, I was trying to find out how to translate this sentence into English.

「やるつきゃないよ」

I asked some friends, but they weren't able to give me a clear answer. "Must keep on fighting"? I didn't feel it was 100% right. Can someone clarify? Thank you ^^

It was a TV star who started to say「やるっきゃないよ」in stead of 「やるしかないよ」about 10-15 years ago in Japan. At first people thought it sounded quite strange but then it became popular. I wonder if it is out now. I dare not to say it is colloquial.

I've heard it in a couple anime shows this year, so I think it's safe to say that it's not too old-fashioned.
