It's really really great! :cool: :cool: I played it for my mom the other day and she thought it was really good :-) and that doesn't happen too often!:blush:
And now I have promised myself that I will make ALOT of money until the next time they come to europe because I want to go to most of the conserts in germany too!:blush: It was my first MUCC consert in sweden some months ago and it was so wonderful:cute: and when they went off the stage for the last time, after Yasashii Uta, a christmas song started to play in the loudspeakers:lol: :lol: :lol: so I was crying (of happines) and laughing at the same time:giggle:
It was the best time of my life and I really want to go again to as many as possible:silly:
....so... I just felt like I had to tell someone about that:relief: :D

It's not because of "fangirls" per se. It's because American fans are whiney a-holes and anytime anything happens it turns into complaints or *gasp* people sue. People like to "protect" J-rockers in this country and treat them like Gods instead of ... well ... rock musicians. If someone crowd-surfed over here at a J-rock concert there would be livejournal pages devoted to how "disrespectul we are to the bands" as if crowd-surfing at a f'ing rock concert is something abnormal, it'll be morphed into "too many fangirls wanted to grab all over the band" the same old bull argument ... rock stars get touched, rock stars touch their fans. Rockers stage-dive, as do their fans. My God these are ADULT men not children, and the good old "OMG because you all were so horrible the band is never going to come back to America again!!!!" rumor.

American fans of J-rock are a sensitive people. The outcry that would occur at a concert if we behaved as if, well, as if we were at at a ROCK CONCERT would be ridiculous. My goodness, I was crushed so much at the Dir show that my ribs were bruised, but you didn't see me making pages and posts complaining about how horrible the fans were. You didn't see me post negative bull all over forums about how "all of the fans are stupid immature fangirls" non-sense and then dramatically leave the forums by declaring that "you can't stand all of the fangirls on the site". You didn't see me write to JhouseRock and the band's management to tell them that if they don't institute changes you would no longer attend concerts.

However, I did see people ... multiple people ... do just that.

So in short, a concert promoter/manager has to be sensitive to the fact that there are many sensitive puss-babies who grew up in a sue-happy country and don't know a thing about real concerts in the audience, and cater greatly to them for fear of the negative impact it could have on them ... thus, we can't stage dive, crowd surf ... or anything even close to it at J-rock concerts.

Aaaaand on a happier note, I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE MUCC TEAR IT UP AGAIN!! To this day they're still the best concert I've been too ... SOOOO EXCITED.

haha thats totally true.. -_- *sigh* oh wells i guess its just something u sorta have to deal with..

but yeah.. its still the best concert iv ever been to as well.. from my personal experience i think it even surpassed dir en grey's showcase tour in nyc by far.. (ill probably die for saying that) . i really cant wait to see them again.

There were no barriers at the london concert, but people didn't go too crazy. :souka: it was pretty cool imo. the band didn't crowdsurf or anything :blush: i'm not sure if any crowd did but i don't think so. not from where i could see anyway.

I like their new look. It is a shocking change with such loss of MUCC hair (haha) but I guess they are just lucky to look good in anything. Especially Tatsurou.

Also, on MUCC's website, they romanise "shishite katamari" as "shishite tamashii" but the kanji is "katamari."

Oh I died of happiness!!! When the song was done, tatsurou said “hi” into the mic, so we all screamed “hi!!!!!!” back… then he said “we are mucc” [they pronounced it “muck”] causing us to go craaaaazy once again! Then they played Rojiura Boku to Kimi e and WAR ARU BEKI BASHO (take that, Y!!!) and I think ryuusei and kuukyo na heya and I thiiiink deioji and a ton of others, including 25toki no yuutsu!!! Yukke took out that GIANT bass/cello/not-sure-what-it’s-called-but-it’s-HUGE!!! And then… they played LIBRA!!!! Y grabbed my shoulders and screamed like a fangirl and we like hugged each other and jumped around and then I hung onto the bar and he hung on to me so we both wouldn’t fall over we were freaking out and headbanging so much!!! AAAAAAH!!! soo gooood!!! they played an amazing song to finish the set off, but I don’t think I have it… I almost cried for seriously the 5th time then… ahh… and then they promised to come back!! No, no! That's the best explanation anyone has given me about Shishite Katamari. I was just really confused because the kanji is katamari and Tatsurou sings the word katamari in the song, but MUCC's website romanises it as tamashii. I studied Japanese in school for two years and I've been teaching myself since then, but I get confused sometimes.

yeah, his pants really look...comfy! but imagine someone else, Yukke for exemple, wearing those :D
Ah and I'm sure you'll see them some day, you never know what's gonna happen :-) Just stick to their DVD's and CD's up to then!
(oh and a small tip: it's really easy to get a place in the front row in some festival...i went there only an hour before the show. the thing was different on their gig in Helsinki - I queued for 6 hours and got about 20 meters from the stage)
I'm sure their gigs will increase on abroad since they've promised so ^^

Miya said the recent times have been the best MUCC ever. So people who don't know about this, here's someone's translation:

!The whole time that mucc was on, all the guns fans sat in the front rows, and didn't let any of the mucc fans in. Ok... I'm not sure if you've noticed, but at most live halls the audience is actually sitting on seats - you usually don't see them because they're all standing up (they have to be). Well... you can guess what they did. Every one of them sat there and refused to move, chattering amongst themselves and booing loudly. Security started saying "Please stand up! While there's a musical performance on stage you must be standing at all times!" This of course was greeted with much disgruntlement, and many people left. Even after poor Tatsurou said a very humble, almost apologetic MC, during the parts where it was quiet there were guys shouting things like "Piss off! You suck! Break up already!" etc. etc. and quote, "every time the vocalist heard things like that his face would turn ashen - the drummer looked like he wanted to run away". As soon as people started throwing bottles at the stage and interfering with the equipment Miya edged over to Tatsurou, said something into his ear, Tatsu nodded, and they stopped and the other members came over and had a group huddle. They immediately went back to playing afterwards, but Tatsurou was shaking so bad that he couldn't even put the mike back on the mike stand properly.
To make matters even more nightmarish, G+R were SO LATE that mucc were forced to go out and do an ENCORE, which was replied with more shouts of "Not this crap again! You can't be serious! **** off and go home already!!"

I almost started to cry when I read this yesterday.

Or if they are, it's 'nice surprise'. So the expectations of an opener aren't usually that good, and people aren't in a positive frame of mind towards them as a rule. But of course, there's no need to be so rude. :okashii: But also from the translations, it seems like most of the shouting was done by one guy, or at most only a very small number. It only takes one or few idiots to ruin things for the band. :wary:

Although MUCC are very different style from G 'n' R, they are very good technically, so I think those guys were dumbasses where music is concerned (okay so not everyone can like that style, but still, credit where credit is due because MUCC do give a technically solid performance in live).

Its crazy to see so much people around the world who like MUCC so much!^^
I'm from Germany (so please forgive my bad english.... ~.~) and I saw them in March this year in Saarbr&uuml;cken. (Its a very small town in the south of germany, near my home). They rocked!! They really did!!!^^ So, even I knew them before, I began to LOVE them! Now, i have all albums and can't wait for the next concert next year.
This year, they hade their tour together with Balzac (if someone knows them)
And 2 weeks ago, Dir en grey were in Munich. It was great to.^^

I went to the world's biggest music industry event - Midem 2008. And there was a Japanese stand, and I picked up their sample CD. Something like 15 tracks to represent the whole/best of Japanese music to all other countries in the world, gathered together at this important event. And the very first track on the CD was.................. Fuzz, by MUCC. :souka: :silly: :p :happy:

I think Shion is the best MUCC ever. Completely different from what they've done before. Well, not completely, there's still this familiar MUCC-feeling, but this time they mix different and interesting elements with it!

I've been listening to Shion for the past few days and with every day I just love it more and more :love: I can't really decide which song would be my favourite, but Anjelier sure is most "ear catching".
Miya is such an amazing person - he either wrote or composed (or both) every single song on the album. Seriously man, you rock! I mean, MUCC rocks big time! :yeahh:

MUCC was of course the total opposite XD i went for the second time tonight and they remembered meeee!!! they are seriously so sweet i just wanna hug them all so much :3 im not typically a fangirly person and i dont think they're drop-dead-gorgeous hot but just their personalities are so endearing and awesome it makes you fall in love with them, ya know?! also, Tatsuro's english was slightly more discernible tonight XD he's slowly getting better!! <3 <3 <3

also, i met the cutest girl in the bathroom. she spoke very little english, but she has been following MUCC from japan and she's seen them live over 40 times!! seriously... most devoted fan ever. and she wasnt obnoxious about it or entitled or anything... omg i wanted to hug her... the world needs more love like that ^_^

Wow I seriously wish that I could do that. MUCC is amazing. I saw them last week and I was pleasantly surprised, most bands aren't good live. But, they were amazing.
The entire time me = *_*

D'espairsray sounded really good, granted not as dramatic but still sounded great.

Honestly I wasnt that thrilled with MUCC when I first started listening to them. I only have a few songs and like them just not that much. So I was totally thrilled to discover that they are FRICKING AMAZING LIVE!!! They have AMAZING stage presence! Tatsuro is so high energy and his little speech? SO CUTE! Even the american fans obviously not there for jrock were cheering him on as he read it! :cute:
My sister who is not into jrock really likes him! (and all of MUCC) She even bought their tee shirt!
Tatsuro also came out with... Atreyu? and sang part of the last song. It was awesome. The whole crowd went wild when he appeared. :D

Does anyone recommend some songs that they like? I really want to get some more music by them but dont know where to start... :relief:

look for the new album that just came out called Shion, and the single Libra, those are both very good. As far as earlier stuff try the albums Zekkuu and Kouchiki no Tou. Alot of this stuff is available for purchase at cdjapan or you could always look for downloads on livejournal. =]

yeah apparently theyre super cool with atreyu... like they had yukke play bass one night for them... like they tried to get him out, and he was like "no i have to learn the parts first!!!" so the next day he learned all the parts and played that night ^_^

MUCC is amazing band. I have saw them twice in Finland and I hope they are coming back soon! I could even say I miss them so much :blush: It's been so long since I saw them.

Oh and I remember so well the time when MUCC gave me autographs. When it was my turn, Tatsurou said "Moi" (Means hi in Finnish) to me and then of course I said "Moi" to him. Then maybe I was so nervous that I said "Moi" again. Well, then Tatsurou said "Moi moi" and then I said "Moi moi moi" and it the end it was that both of us were saying "Moimoimoimoimoi" I'm gonna remember that for rest of my life :D

I want your advice please! :p I want to make myself an outfit for the gig, but I don't want to cosplay a mucc outfit... rather, design an outfit based on a general overall 'look' of mucc at some point - like I was thinking something slightly suit/waistcoat-based, maybe with a touch of pinstripes in there, but I'm not sure exactly.... does anyone have any photoshoots (of any age, it doesn't matter if they are old) of mucc, that I can use to help me inform my designs? Again I say, I don't want to copy, but get a general 'feel' for 'image' if that makes any sense... I am looking forward to designing and making an outfit again, it has been a long time! :cool:

Although I love Shion, my preference is for Gokusai, and the albums with less synthe, that's just my view - I can hear how they are arranged can easily be transferred for the guitar in a live setting, but I like to hear it for real... although it can be good effect, I prefer not to hear so much synthe but rather the real instruments, except in very occasional cases.

I like electronic music too, but in case of mucc they are very much a rock band with a traditional streak a mile wide which suits strong guitars and bass!

I saw Miya when I came out of mcdonalds !!!!! I didn't believe my eyes!!! I could speak with him!
And then I also saw tatsu. yukke and sato cuz they were wandering around in Hamburg!!!! xDDD I got some signs!!! And I spoke to tatsuuuuuuuu. he was really nervous

I went to their concert on the 21st (and in the end I hadn't time to make a costume :blush: ), they were in a concert of 5 bands, 2 support, 2 other and the headliner. The bands were: Horse The Band, MUCC, Story of the Year, As I Lay Dying, and Atreyu (in that order).

MUCC played well, Yukke played the double bass at one point <333 and Tatsurou the harmonica a little. They played mostly their heaviest songs and the newest, except for their final song was Libra. :cool: The setlist was not quite as long as at the Hamburg concert by the looks of it, but I don't know the setlist as I'm not yet familiar enough with the new stuff to be able to quote the titles. >_< I think they made exactly the right choice of tracks to suit the audience, as most of the crowd were there to hear Atreyu and the other 2 'main' bands, and are into heavy rock kind of music. Personally I like MUCC best when they mix the type of song a bit, but I guess that wouldn't have suited the audience.

Also, my opinion is that the heavier songs off Gokusai are the stronger, such as the title track, DOG, Nageki no Kane, Risky Drive etc... and the melodic ones are the better songs off Shion, e.g. Anjelier, Game, Chiisana Mado, Sorawasure... So I don't know my opinion of their setlist choosing the heavier Shion tracks. My partner was with me who was completely new to MUCC, and I don't think their setlist was the best for introducing 'new fans'... but I did enjoy it very much, as someone who is already familiar with their music.

They had quite a big crowd of fans there, which was a nice surprise for me as I didn't expect there to be many MUCC fans specifically... :) However there were also a small vocal minority who kept shouting things at them :okashii: but really those were just the loud voices of two or three idiots!
